Hello I am hoping some one here can help me. I installed a Kenwood DDX616 today. It was not that hard with all the support here. I also did the SWI-JACK, I thought that was going to be the part that gave me troubles. I also was concerned about the parking break video hook up. However both when smooth. Time consuming going back and forth looking things up here and on the PAC web sight. It works great and so does the video thats much to this forum.

I am have trouble with one thing I thought would be fine as it is the only thing I did not have to wire. The USB cable. First it will recognize my iPod, show the tracks and all but no sound. I can change songs and everything but cant hear a thing. Second when I hooked up a thumb drive with some pictures for the backgrounds it shows the file but will not display or download the pics.

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

Check and see if there is a firmware update available at the Kenwood website.

I just read a small article about this head unit from another person who had similar problems and the kenwood technician told him the problem was the age of his firmware on his ipod/iphone and that if he updated his iphone/ipod through itunes it should fix the problem. The guy never responded back so that may have fixed the issue. See if you have the latest iphone/ipod firmware for your device...couldn't hurt.
