So, I got this truck December '11 and have been Toyota addicted ever since. I use it every day to and from work, pretty much every weekend- wether I'm going hiking, fishin, campin, mtn biking, snowboarding...etc.

Living in SLC is a great location for anything outdoors, and this truck helps me explore and live Utah to the fullest.

EDIT: Just moved to Long Beach, CA. There are an insane amount of fire roads in southern Cali, so I'm planning on rallying them every weekend pretty much. Will be attending every meet possible too.

This truck isn't huge, but I'm very impressed with where it's gotten me! I just graduated college, meaning I'm on a budget- but really trying to get this truck where I really want it. It’s going take a while, but I’m having a blast so far.

That being said, I might be uploading quite a few more adventure photos then mod photos.

This is what I'm rolling in as of 12-9-12

Here’s how it looked when I got it:

Here's as it sits as of 6/13/12:

    Current Mods:

Volant CAI: Stock intake for now, until I clean the air filter
Uniden CB, external speaker, Firestick 4' antenna
    3" Catback Exhaust
    Headers
    Clear Corners
    Black Grill
    Plasti-dipped bumpers/ emblems
    Bedlined Rocker Panels
    1/2 Way Built Sliders
    ToolBox
    2 Jerry Cans mounted
    Hi-Lift mounted
Alarm System w/ keyless entry (CHIRP CHIRP!)
    New headlight bulbs
    Hertz speakers
    Tires: Duratracs 265-75-16

    Future Mods:

Mesh grill with offroad lights behind
    Skids
    Bumpers (just built rear bumper!)
    Sound System (done)
Lift with Billy 5100's all around & Diff drop kit (just ordered full OME setup)
    Winch
Wheels: Dip the stock- or get wider black wheels (dipped stock)
Re-tint my windows: (too dark to pass emissions in UT) (just re-tinted fronts and added windshield strip)
Line-X or Raptor Line the bed and toolbox

I wasn’t a huge fan of the chrome, it started to look cheapy and pitted from all the salt/ mag-chlorite they load the streets with. So I took care of that pretty quickly with a new black grill that I plasti dipped as well as the bumper and around the clear corners I picked up.

I’ve taken the lady to Moab a few times already, only hit mellow trails and biked a bunch. By far my favorite place to vacation.

Met a dude named Donnie- Sparky36, and we have been wheeling a bunch. Unfortunately our first time out I blasted my rocker panel

Also got a bit muddy :D

This blast on the panel was just inspiration to sand it down and bedline the rockers!

I think it turned out pretty clean for just eyeballin it!

Next up came the sliders, a buddy used some spare raw steel for me and fabbed these puppies up in a day, the next day we threw them on- just in time for the Moab meet. They are just bare- bones for now, just enough to get by. I plan on finishing them up soon.

Cleaned the frame then tacked the mounting plates on.

Steel brushed them, then bedlined em!

My buddy Dylan is super handy

    Here’s how they turned out

Can’t wait to finish them, because they sure weren’t wide enough to prevent body damage on this one!

My passenger headlight went out, so grabbed these puppies and tossed them in.

Next up came the Hi-lift and Jerry Cans!

That pretty much brings us up to date on what I’ve done in the past 6 months! Can’t wait to get more done.

    Built my rear bumper!

Thanks man, the can mounts are solid on there. Still working out hi lift mount issues. Your custom bed extender is pretty sick too. I'm a fan of square steel. Also that power inverter is kickass

Yeah, I like your bumpers too- not too many people doing square steel all around. I'll post pics when I get a chance, but I'd like to make it a bit shorter/ closer to the box so there's less wiggle room. Also I need to find a way to lock it- I am still debating on grabbing the hi lift 4xRack, but now have two 1/2" holes in my box

haha, you dont like the moustache?!

I guess its never really bugged me, cause it helps me retain a semi-chip-free hood :D

But I'm not sure how much it really does- always thought it created a wind vacuum to help the bugs go up and above the cabin, but last time I drove to the airport and back, I must've made an entire species of mosquito go extinct. Didn't really do a whole lot- but I've never taken it off to compare.

I'll take it off to check it out, might look naked for a while haha, but I'll give it a whirl

So I picked up some 1/2" bolts and 1/4" plates that I used as anchors on the inside. Used plastic tube thread nipples- way too long and flimsy- I was looking for rubber hose type material. Also there are a bunch of washers on the inside of the box, as the thread on the bolts only went like 1/4 way down toward the base.

So the plan is to get shorter bolts that thread all the way down, and get metal spacers- if I really cant find rubber.

I thought this would be cheaper than buying the mounts on amazon, but it's turning out to be just as expensive but more time consuming

But if I continue on my ghetto route, there's no easy way to lock it- like what comes with the 4xRack- seems easier.

If I get that 4x, then I've got 2 fat holes in my box, that are probably too big for the bolts on that mount haha.

    Decisions decisions

You could alway use a bolt to fill in the holes and then go with a 4x hilift mount

Went with the shorter bolt idea- works like a champ! I will just turn them inside-out when the lift isn't on to fill the holes. I'll probably just throw it on when we go wheeling, and leave it off for the remainder- as I'm still riding stock height. I'ts way nicer than my bottle jack though haha.

If this doesn't satisfy me for the long run, I might just end up with the 4x. But I'll take some pics tmrw when it's light out

    HAHA halfway :cookiemonster:

They were still pretty wet when we were done, Donnie (Sparky36) also did his. We did the passenger side on each of our vehicles, and it was still crasy wet when it got dark. We didn't want to scrape it up immediately so we didn't throw em back on. He just tossed on his stocker snows on each of his passengers for the night, and I threw my spare and one of his snows on to get by till tomorrow.

Once we each get off work tmrw we'll finish em up.

Our rims look SO good man, can't wait to finish up and put them on

Wheels are on- HOLY SH*T they look way good. I know, I know pics or gtfo...but it was dark again, pics to come tomorrow!

As for the hi lift- got that all sorted- now just need a washer and bolt for the outside, so it's solid on there while I mount it. As of now, still a bit ghetto cause I have to hold the mounting bolts...but it's way more solid after I screw the wingnuts on.
