Brought my brand new (700 miles) 17 TRD Sport in to the dealership yesterday for a wobbling issue. I noticed the truck wobbled a little bit when I test drove but I assumed it was flat spots on the tires but it never went away, so I brought it in. They confirmed the issue and confirmed it wasn't the wheels and tires, so they kept it and said they have to get Toyota involved.

Anybody have this problem? Now I'm rolling around in a Highlander :(

Can you describe the wobble? My 17DCLBOR (4300 miles) has had a pulsation in the brake peddle (also felt in the seat) during light to moderate breaking basically since I bought it. I wouldn't describe it as a wobble but some might use that word. I haven't had it looked at yet.

So if they are keeping your truck and getting toyota involvedni assume they found something. Did they tell you what that something might be.

    this is very strange lol

a wobble could mean loose lug nuts lol

if they confirmed it was wheels and tires that is strange, I would assume and hope they tried balancing them first if not go as far as pop the beed off and re mount them.

there is no money in R&D, it is seemingly better for their bottom line to just sit and wait and see how many people come back speak up and bring up their issues on their own time, this is not just a 3rd gen problem, it is a problem across the board with subaru and porsche being the exceptions.

Tell that to the Subaru guys who have been blowing Ringlands since 2004.

Can you further explain your issue?

My '17 TRD Sport has a vibration/shake that can be felt in the floor, seats and steering wheel at various speeds. Took it to the Dealer today and they said they can't feel anything abnormal and it's all "normal". Crock of shit, a shaking steering wheel in a $40k truck is not normal.

i was a subaru tech for many years.... the 2004 was not a problem.... it becomes a problem only when you modify and have a poor tune and never check your oil...

the ring land problems on out the box factory STIs started with the 2007 and still was an issue with the 2008, let alone the early early 08s had straight uo metal shavings in the oil pan...

That was one of my issues - Toyota ended up confirming the rear driver's side drum was too tight and lead to it being warped.
