Like this makes it any more acceptable? I think I can deal with a tiny wobble or my rear diff making some racket than my engine grenading itself.

Also, it's 2017, and STi's are still blowing ringlands.. On brand new cars.

What is not acceptable is the EDM and JDM cars getting forged interns and the USDM car getting cast...

you can blame the manufacturer all you want, but the factual numbers do not lie.

So the manufacturer puts forged internals on all non-USDM cars, but that's not the manufacturer's fault?

What factual numbers? You just pulled this out of no where.

    lol here we go...

first off, you have not even addressed the OP with anything related to his issues, you are just here trying to protect the rep of your third gen, and now seemingly telling me I am wrong... keep reading the inter webs kido

the manufacturer does NOT put it in ALL non USDM cars... just the ones that deserve it because of the assumed abuse.

they do not put them in the USDM car most likely because of sounds and noises that any us dud would not be able to see past.. imho. If you know anything about having forged internals you would understand.

not sure what you think i am pulling out of nowhere.. experience > hear say

Protect the "rep" of my third gen? My third gen is just fine, what's even more comical is all the 2nd Gen owners that pop into a 3rd Gen forum whenever someone posts they have a problem.. "LOL TURD GEN"

I love how much you assume about my lack of knowledge of cars and when it comes to Subarus.. Here's a little hint:

    Stateside STi

    20170616_142554_83dc15711a9b95dda1788daa6509e7ad59dc0cc5.jpg

    Overseas STi:

If only I had some first hand knowledge of Subaru's and STi's with blown ringlands.. Damn. You got me.

I will just add this @Jtaugner

if you knew anything about detonation and oil starvation and how the subaru ring lands work, maybe just maybe you would not be placing 100% of the blame on a manufacture.... Not saying they shouldn't be held accountable... just that there is a way in which things work and in which things do not resulting in failures.

just loading alone by not knowing how to properly drive a manual turbo car can cause detonation. it is very common for the unknowing driver behind the wheel of an sti for example to be merging onto a highway and go WOT but rpm way too low and way too high of a gear causing major un wanted load on the motor causing detonation... and again, not saying this is what you have had happen, just that it is common for others... hell in your case maybe you had a lemon idk, or a shit OTS tune or even a shit pro tune, hey it is all possible

    not always 100% the manufacture..

I thought I left the "who's got the bigger dick" fighting Subaru community long ago, apparently not.

Can we get back on topic?

Some decent reading comprehension would of worked here..

But I'll take my fan boi-ness back to NASIOC, I'll leave the troubleshooting on TW to a Subaru Tech who can't comprehend two sentences worth of information.

They turned my front right rotor at 14K miles due to "wobble." No problem since then but only another 1200 miles put on.
