Kobalt makes a good toolbox. You might also want to look into a UWS also. I have a UWS and I love it. Didn't know if you had looked into them. Just throwing in my .02.

I got mine for right at $300 installed and everything from a local guy in Charlotte. I'm not sure about shipping costs but it might be worth while to see what it might costs to get it shipped.

Where in the Valley are you going to buy it? I try and stay away from the truck acc. shops in the valley because I know I will walk out of there in debt. I think Truckers Supply in Pharr has a huge selection. Also you might want to give Tractor Supply a look. They have some nice chest style boxes. If I was you I would stick with black. Also I noticed that you have the sliders on your truck. How did you paint them or did you get them powder coated? And where.

I just checked Amazon for a UWS box and its $350 shipped, I'll stop by Truckers Supply and see what they say. Tractor Supply didnt have any black boxes in stock. As for the sliders they are actually nerf steps from N-Fab and they came powder coated black.

I recommend a low-pro UWS powder coated black. I have one and it works wonderful and looks great.

Yep, not pics specifically of the box but you get the idea. I also have bike mounts on the back of it.

I had to make the same decision last week. I ended up getting the kobalt and planning on painting it black, but the toolbox had a bad weld so i ended up just returning it and ordering the better built one from cabelas. It should be here pretty soon. If you end up deciding to paint it i would shoot krookz a pm. There is a thread somewhere with his toolbox that he painted and it looks pretty good.
