Truck is throwing that damn P0101 code!! (SOLVED)

    I drove about 40 miles round trip today and check engine light did not come on, but watching the AFR gauge it would occasionally spike lean with cruise control on or off @ 65-70 mph. It still pegs the AFR gauge lean when bringing up rpms and holding them at around 2k in any gear which I don't understand. I did take air filter off and tried 1st and 2nd gear up to 2k and both times in both gears it went lean bouncing around 16:1.

    Try re-attaching the vacuum hose from the intake, back to the FPR.

    I found the brass nipple for the intake I just need to get some vacuum hose in the AM.

    I reattached the vacuum hose from the intake to the FPR - no change in AFR

    I reattached the vacuum hose from FPR to the tee for boost gauge to make it boost referenced - no change in AFR

    Yes, I did I forgot to mention that I cleaned my new MAF sensor when I took the air filter off. This thing has me completely stumped.

    When you say seeing reading lean like 16-18, how much time you see it. If its only for 1 sec it's normal. When applying throttle the reading always go lean and when getting off the reading is going rich.

    Hey I don't see the fuel reference.Vacuum line from your plugged fitting on air tube by air box?on my 2005 4x4 auto.Has one .I don't know about your year.in goes from air tube to pass side fuel rail as a reference to add fuel. Again on mine.

    Looked at your pictures.Why is fuel reference pod at back of pass fuel rail capped off??Air tube brass plugged also.Engine needs Its Inputs And That is a Major reference!!blow up my picture and u will c 1/4in.line 1/8in inside is for fuel control.Plastic line past my Maf is for meth injection.rubber line between air box and Maf is fuel boost reference.Agaian on mine.I have trd blower urd uconn.Controler 7th.injector meth injection 2.74 pulley jab.headers Doug throully.pipebomb y. Pipe

    Ps.upgraded fuel pump from urd.rear O2 simulater.I have not had engine issues but the auto tranny.at 7000rpm.Yes 7000rpm isn't happy with me.A Joke 4 All what do you get when you mix a TRD with URD? A Turd Rite.But My Shit Is Fast!!!!! Good luck.I believe that is your issue.fuel reference.

    If I hold steady 2,000-2,200rpms setting still or driving it goes lean 16:1 -18:1, if I punch down on it and get into boost it will richen up. I afraid to hold to too long with it being that lean but I have done it a few times now for up to 30 seconds with it not moving out of the 16:1 - 18:1. The truck just doesn't feet right I can't explain but you just know when somethings not right.

    Let me refresh. When you drove with the filter off, you no longer received the CEL, but that area of load and rpm still creates the lean issue?

    Is this a relatively new lean condition? If so, did it happen immediately after any specific mod or event?

    Can you a picture of the throttle body. Directly above it, looking straight down at it? From your previous pictures, it might not be visible, but it looks like there isn't a gasket between the TB and s/c.

    Not sure how many miles are on your truck, but reading one of your earlier threads, you did the URD fuel pump installation correct? If so, have you changed the fuel filter since then?

    Novanut, you never mentioned that you had cleaned the oil from the air filter. Did you spray it down with any degreaser to get the oil off?

    6200 RPMs, on stock internals. Somewhere around 8 psi or a tad more. TRD S/C. Rod/rods shattered.
