    So here's where I'm at.

    Yesterday I:

    Changed all six spark plugs
    Oil change
    Oil filter
    Air filter

Took it for a test drive and it drove wonderfully (about 2-3 miles total)

When I got back home I:

    1. Changed the output shaft seal (it was leaking)
    2. Drained and refilled ATF (did not do ATF level check procedure - but did not drive it - called it a night and went to bed.

This morning I woke up and went out to put truck into Temp Check mode to check ATF level and I realized that I had left keys in ignition and the battery was dead.

So, I pulled the battery off my wife's car and put it in my truck.

Next, I put the truck in Temp Check Mode and let it idle in Park for approximately 10 minutes to allow the ATF to warm up, as I waited for the "AT TEMP" light to come on so I could pull overflow plug and get level right.

After about 10 minutes of idling the idle got really quiet, about 30 seconds later it just died.

I restarted it and it fired right up as usual but only ran about 3-5 seconds and died again.

I started it a third time and gave it some gas and it again ran for a few seconds and died.

I need to figure out why it's dying and finish the ATF level procedure.... Could it be that I put my wife's battery in it? Did I reset the computer?! When I did the spark plugs I had to disconnect 1 hose. My mechanic friend that was helping me said it wasn't a vacuum line but I just don't know... If it was a vacuum line would the truck have ran well for the test drive?

The truck has about 1/8 of a tank of gas. The "low gas" light is NOT on... Yet.

    Any ideas much appreciated.

The computer sometimes kills the truck after replacing the battery or putting in one that is good. It's happened to me before multiple times. Keep trying to fire it up and give it some throttle when you get it going. It doesn't sound like anything is wrong.

Have you checked the diagnostics it might be kicking out? Do you have an OBD reader to read the codes?

Get your wife's battery out of the car and buy the right one for your truck and go from there...

If your battery died from leaving the keys in it, can't you just jump start it off your wife's battery?

How does the truck battery die if the keys are left in it? Never heard of that before
