any one else exsperiance this happening. When I am driving down the high way at maybe 70 give or take and I put one rear window down partially the whole truck shakes. If I put one more window down it stops. Its weird and loud. I noticed that the passenger seat shakes like crazy too. Anyone else notice this?

Uhh, are you sure the wind isn't just shaking your head?

I do know that with the windows at certain heights, I can get a really fast pressure induced thumping. It's really annoying.

I've got an extended cab, but when my drivers side window is down, the passenger seat shakes back and forth very violently, and makes loads of noise. The whole truck shaking is due to some kind of presure difference. I think it operates on the same principles at the Venturi effect or something like that. One thing I know for sure, is that even an inch further down or up may help that because I was riding with a friend of mine in the back drivers side of his truck, and his, and my windows where down. His seatbelt (that he wasn't wearing so it was dangling) was shaking very violently from wind. He rolled up his window about an inch and it stopped. It all just has to do with presure differentials.

Any vehicle I've ever owned was like that. Sounds like a helicopter is landing on the roof.

I was gonna paint the landing pad on the roof, but said screw it! If you're gonna land a chopper on my roof, you're gonna have to work for it.

Chopper pilots are spoiled these days anyway with their fancy computer sensors and what not.

I've only experienced it with rear windows, so if this is his first vehicle with 4 doors/windows, I can understand the suprise.

the only thing that you can do is try to balance the force coming in and the force going out. so basically just open another window.

Every vehicle in the world does that when you have only one window down, especially the rear windows. just crack one of your other windows and the problem will go away

When I'm driving my DC by myself and want ventilation but don't want air directly in my face, I just crack the passenger front window and the rear driver side window a couple of inches. Air can flow through the cab that way.
