Anyone else have this happening. When I decelerate on the interstate sometimes the speedometer hangs then jumps down.

Got any sound with the video ?
It would be great if we could hear whats happening . It would make it easier for us to diagnose .
Are you running a lift and larger tires ?
Are you feeling any throttle hang ?

Completely stock truck. Trd off road 6 speed MT. No sound with the video sorry. But its nothing abnormal with the engine or transmission. RPMs and engine sound is completely normal its just the speedometer that's acting odd. The digital speedometer seems to be acting normal, but not the analog one. I don't really care other than I already have 30k miles on the truck and I know that stupid dash cluster is not cheap if it breaks out of warranty.

I have the same issue with my 2017 automatic SR. Engine decelerating from highway speed (no braking) on a slight uphill grade.

Doesn't your cluster have a digital speed readout as well? May be helpful to have them both displayed at the same time in the video. It's tough to see what's happening

@TRDinOhio mine does not. It has the basic cluster. Tach, speedo, and odometer with trip meter.

No fancy center display with mpg, tire pressure, setting, etc

Little tree air fresheners. Clazzio black leather seat covers.
I had the same problem, only it happen during the summer time when it was 80*+ outside. Anything under 80* it had no problems. Also hungup or "lagged" on acceleration as well. I had video clips that I showed my dealer because I figured an $40k truck shouldn't have tack meter or speedo problems. But as usual, the dealer couldn't duplicate the problem, told me they can't do anything about it.
    Good luck with it.

My tachometer does this all the time. Sometimes my speedometer does it too. 2017 SR 4x4 4 banger 5 speed manual.

My tachometer acted up the other day, the speedometer was fine though, like silver Tacoma guy said, it was also 80+ degrees, was going up a hill and went to check rpm's and it wasn't registering, showed nothing, drove another mile or two varying rpm's getting it to change gears and such and the tach would move but only from 0-500 rpm where it should have been around 3k-4K range.

Stopped at gas station, shut it off and restarted and it and all was fine, haven't had it occur since.

Yeah same here I showed the dealer but they couldn't duplicate it. That in combination with the diff howl, hood vibrating, clutch pedal squeaking, and the final straw was my rear cab light leaking water like crazy into the cab. Of course I was 1000 miles over my 36k warranty and the one dealer I went to wouldn't cover it claimed it was impact damage. So I found the Toyota North America CEO's email and sent him a professional yet to the point email on the quality issues with the new Tacoma and that I've been a loyal customer and love Tacoma's but I'm now looking at ford F150s and wish I didn't have to.

I wasn't expecting anything and then corp called and gave me the 125k or 8 year Toyota platinum elite warranty for free. I am impressed with their efforts at customer service and it's put my mind at ease to say the least.

I'm having the exact issue (I believe) with my 2010 Camaro. The analog speedometer is hanging up only on deceleration while passing through the 40 to 70mph range but my digital speedometer is working perfect. My speedometer is doing the same as the video above by REIGNSS. Any thoughts?
