I posted it in the steering fluid loss thread because the OP there mentioned his problem after just 200 miles. This other truck also only had 200 miles. They're having to replace the head due to an oil leak. Oil was pumping out the side of the head when the engine was running. It's sitting at the local dealership waiting for parts.

You and me both. That issue is actually the reason I started watching the 3rd Gen forum. I was curious if it was going to be a more common issue. So far though, it seems to be an isolated case.

On the other hand, there have been a couple guys who lemon lawed their '14 or '15s because of engine problems. That didn't stop you from getting a '15 and there's no widespread issues.

Well, it must have had adequate oil pressure then.

OP, it states in the manual that allowing the truck to roll backwards while in drive or, roll forward while in reverse may cause the engine to stall. Is this relevant to your situation?

How can brand new engine and brand new truck have so many engine problems right out of the gate.. ? And people sayign GM is bad ... Quality is equally crappy at this point.

How many 2016 Tacomas have been sold at this point? And how many have actually had a legitimate problem? A couple posts on an online forum of things that may or may not even be an actual problem is not a viable sample size. I'm sure a very very small percentage of Tacoma drivers even use this forum. Probably an even smaller number of 3rd gen owners.

Yet, we still have people like BlueT screaming loudly about how the new truck is a piece of shit and will capitalize on every opportunity to push his biased hatred of the truck.

The loud minority is not an accurate representation of what the silent majority experiences.

BlueT, we all get that you hate the 3rd gen tacoma. But your fear mongering juvenile attitude is getting old and boring. Please get some new material and change up your talking points.

Well you officially gave me some useful information. I now no that the blue arrow in a quote links back to another thread. Took you long enough to provide some useful info, so thanks I guess. Maybe start a new thread next time helping us "kids" out, with useful TW tricks.
Yep, you caught me. I know it must look bad that I was trying to find the post you were referring to, but figured I should try and catch up.

Can we now try and keep this thread on the topic of stalling/Low oil pressure. And potentially start new threads when all of sudden there are head failures, or low engine oil issues, or what the fuck ever else decides to go wrong real or not?

There is a very simple solution here. Put your money where your mouth is and prove there is no problem...

    1. Park your 2016 V6 with nose down at 30 degree pitch.
    2. Idle until low oil lever warning comes on.
    3. Rev to 3000RPMS and hold that for at least 3 minutes...
    4. Video whole endeavor and post it here...

The fact is there should be 0 trucks with the problem.
If we get 3-4 videos proving there is no problem than it will look like a fluke. So when we can expect the video from you?

We need to see atleast 3-4 videos of people running trucks at high pitch to see if they stall. If there is no stall and there is no oil pressure light that means op or other guy did somethign wrong, very simple. I say those people who claim there is no problem prove it.
