I'm trying to play a CD in my Tacoma, but every time I put it in there, it waits about 3 seconds then spits it out. Sometimes something such as 'ERRL' will pop up, but then it always goes back to the radio. Any suggestions? The CD plays fine in other vehicles. It's in the standard iTunes format.

First time I've used it. Didn't occur to me to check the player when we bought the truck a while back.

That's partially what I'm thinking. It works on a 2006 Sienna.

But once it did play the CD. For about 10 seconds, until I tried to change tracks

Thats what it sounds like. Just like windows 95 or 98 getting high speed internet. Its a best effort try. it may work it may not.

I just tried converting it to a different file type. Still no luck. Could the CD technology just be too advanced?

I had the same problem and didn't know what was going on. So I took out the whole stock deck disconnected everything and just connected it again put it back in and it started working fine ever since. Maybe you're having the same problem never know.

hummm try putting it on a diff disc. or do what TacoTron said. Sounds wired to only do it on one disc and all others work.

Just tried it with a 'real' CD. It worked just fine. So it must either be something with the formatting on my CD's, or something with the new CD's being too technologically advanced

Possibly. I'm burning it at a different speed right now. I originally had it set to the maximum, but I just read that it may be because it's burnt at too high of a speed

No luck recording at 8X speed, as opposed to 24X.

Tried another CD, an older one, and it played the first song without any problems the first time I put it in. Then it kept on popping up 'ERRl' and ejecting the disc. It worked best the first time, but still not well
