Recently my truck wouldn’t start so I got a new battery and then a new alternator, the truck started but then the next morning it wouldn’t start. I tested the battery with a multimeter and it was reading 12.8 volts so it should’ve been able to start, as well the dash lights won’t even come on unless I have a jumper pack connected, I did a continuity test and everything was fine there is also a weird clicking noise that randomly happens if i have the key turned in the run position but it happens randomly not all the time . I checked all the grounds to and they looked well, I’m really lost right now what could be wrong.

    Ugh
I know this “intermittent” problem well

after years I finally determined (from a GTO forum no less)was a ground issue for my vehicle

    I know I know….all grounds good u said
(Exactly what I said for a LONG time)

    Does it sound like this?

    You can fix it cheap.

If the dash lights don’t come, I don’t think it’s a starter issues.
You have a power or ground issue.

Have you inspected the battery cables really good?
They can corrode inside the sheathing.

The key detail here is “no dash lights unless jumper is connected…..

You may even have an ignition switch issue?

When this happens, do the brake lights work?
    What about the head lights?

We need to see where the power failure is.
