I just came back from the dealer they did the gas pedal i had them look in the TSB for the rear. they said that the springs were shot and they need the TSB done but my taco is a 2005 and it has 64k on it and Toyota wont cover it. I had them call my extended warranty company to see if they would do it. they call them and an adjuster came out to look and they said yes. So i picked it up today and it had new springs on it they were a 3 pack not the 4 pack I searched on here for copy of the TSB and for the part number they used was the old one. What do you all think i should do? Should I call some one over there heads or should i let it go. pleas help

My thoughts are, If you were fine with the 3 pack, you should be golden with the new 3 pack.

If you drove 64k miles with the original 3 pack and didn't have any complaints, I wouldn't worry about it. Sounds like the just warrantied the original parts, not the TSB parts. The best 'out of warranty TSB story' I've seen on here was they got Toyota to cover parts and paid for the labor to get the TSB done.

You could always go back and ask them if they will isntall the new TSB springs. All they can say is no. I wouldn't hold my breathe waiting for them to actually do it though.

Good for you! There are better 3 pack springs that don't bottom-out... But, if they used the same bad ones, that's no good.

My 2010 Tacoma came from the Baja factory, and they are using better springs than the 2005 Tacoma had... same testing, and the new 3 pack springs do not bottom out at all. I do not know if they are offering a a TSB with the better 3 packs or just using the 4 pack.
