I've been keeping my eye out for a copy, that i can print from here of tsb 0373-09. It's the one for the transmission. I read that it just came out a couple weeks ago. I also read since then, lots of taco owners are having good luck getting it done. I would really like a hard copy to take to the dealer with me when i go. If somebody out there has it, please, lets get it on here. I've search for a while now with no luck. Thanks

so i have a 2010 acess cab 4x4 trd offroad it only has 3 leaf springs and it has a reduced payload sticker. what do i need to prepare my self for? also i have a leer shell i like the ride better with it on. is that enough weight to tell or do i need to add a leaf? have they figured it out by now? judging by the sticker i am guessing no!!!

Sorry. Do some reading, there's plenty of people who've already been down your path and have posted threads that should be informative.

how much does a shell weigh? havent found any threads on 2010 models tsbs. i get it 4 springs if you use your truck for loads. i was already going to install airbags i know the routine. i did all of this to a a 2005 tundra identical parts to your tacoma and an 2007 tundra(a real pile of poo) bent the whole bed. got rid of that for 2500hd longbed with airbags. and now i have tacoma. ok so is deaver or something similar a smarter way togo instead of bringing in a tsb from 2007 and trying to get it warrantied ? this is a tsb question not a suspension question i am not leveling out my truck.....

anytime you level out a truck any truck suspension lift or leveling kit the ride with a load is going to hit the deck.it is why these trucks come stinkbug if you lift it and load it airbags is the only way togo. leafsprings only work for one thing or the other.

Airbags, Deavers, etc. are all suspension modifications. I know you are trying to fix a TSB related issue, but I'm simply saying you will find more help in the other portions of the forum since they generate more action towards your specific question.

How you lift the truck will effect load capacity, yes. Sometimes you gain (more like break even), sometimes you lose. If you are trying to carry so much that you are worried airbags won't do it, then a Taco may not have been a correct choice. It sounds like you've done more modification than I have here, but if I were to venture a guess, I would say you end up with airbags or Timbrens and spend time scouting the buy/sell for some TSB spring takeoffs.

When I play or do lighter work, I take my taco. I don't expect to pull freight trains.
When I need to tow a 5th wheel, go to the quarry, or really get down in the towing department, I'll hop in the 3/4 ton diesel. However, the thing would be a pain offroad and has the agility of a lumbering sea cow.

painted door handles, bilstein 5100's front and back, K&N air filter. Precision power component speakers and Kenwood deck.

same thing here. only noticed it when I was doing 80 and there was some cross wind. Not enough for me to take it in. heres my question. I bought a used 2006 reg cab prerunner sr5 with 53k miles. I bought an extended warranty for 103k miles. Can I take my truck in for all the TSB that apply to it?

thanks guys, now i know why my TRD-OR 4x4 drags ass when im hauling my RC51 in the bed. It chaps my ass that toyota is shady about TSB. Thanks for all the info, i am now armed with documentation and all the knowledge i need to take this to my dealership and have this done, without them balking at it. If they do, i will be sure to let all know. I figure with all the info, and facts I have shouldnt be a problem. Im going to put my Ranch Top back on my Taco, w/ about 600lbs and drive up to the dealership and say "rough ride with heavy loads, near dangerous, the wife wouldnt ride in the truck....oh and btw here is the TSB, fix it!

Thanks guys much appreciated, glad we have an open forum here to counter Toyota's shady'ness.

Homemade Rear Hi-Clear. Rear Bumper, ARB Front w/Fog Light Option. Superwinch EPi9.0s with Amsteel Blue. Going to make sliders, skids and bed cage/box, I have a camper shell for long range travel. Vision X Tantrum Lights for being a "pimp in the bush", Cobra CB, lots of tools and random junk that helps to add traction due to weight.
I am getting the Extra Care run-around... I talked with my service advisor about the TSB and he was more than willing to get it done, but when he put in the request-he was given a message that due to the cost of the conversion-it must be inspected by Extra Care. The rear leaf springs on my 08 Dbl Cab TRD Offroad are negative arched, the ride is rougher than it should be and the bump stops are bottoming out on the frame on a regular basis with light loads. With full loads-the truck pretty much bottoms out on every small bump. The Extra Care supervisor that I spoke with said that I had put larger mud tires on my truck and that caused the issue. I immediately threw the BS Flag at that-considering my tires are just 265/75 16's. After letting him know that I was not born yesterday-he began to explain that the inspector's report said the springs were not malfunctioning and that they did not need to be replaced. Below are pics of my springs, I am no rocket scientist-but the damn springs are sagging and there is less than 3 inches between the bump stops and the frame. There is a spare tire in the bed, I have a camper shell on and I have a rear high clearance bumper that I built(weighs around 70lbs.). I have driven 3/4 ton trucks my whole life so I am used to a rough ride, but this is crazy.... Let me know if I am the crazy one here, because I have not seen any other pics of pre TSB springs and do not have much to compare to besides what my springs looked like when the truck was new.
