Do you think that the Suspension TSB will be covered under an extended warranty?

I just brought my 05 tacoma to the dealer because the air bag light was on for some reason. NOT a simple fix apparently I was told the left front air bag sensor was corroded along with the wiring harness. I was then told that not only will I not pass inspection in MA with this light on but the fix through toyota was upwards of $3000!!! Anyone else have an issue/solution for this air bag problem. I have not seen it in any recall.

Welcome to TW. Sorry you had to join because of a problem. Did you get the truck new? This is the first ime I've heard of this, but I'd call the Toyota customer service line and see if they can do anything for you. The truck is only 3 years old. No way should the airbag sensor be rusted out and useles. Good luck with it and keep us updated.

I think in some cases they change out the shocks but I may be wrong.

is there a problem with the rear springs on an 09 4x4 reg. cab. I've read this whole thread and more on TSB's and must admit that I don't quite understand it all. Should I call the dealer and ask him, though I don't think I would get a straight answer.

i dont know about '09 models, but this is for 05-08 models. a TSB (is not a recall) but yet more of a....."here..... is a free mod or upgrade" and if anything is on that or this list and matches up with whatever is on your truck.... Take it in while you can :D. hope that helped

Thanks to everybody for all the help. The pdf file for the TSB says it for access cabs and double cabs. It doesn't mention the reg. cab. There are a number of threads about this and I can't remember where I saw it, but somebody showed a before and after shot of their truck. Mine looks like the after shot with the rear raised higher than the front. On another thread some where, somebody mentioned that if the part number has an "F' it is eligible to be fixed and if it has a 'G' , it is OK. My number has the 'G'. the number on the drivers side is CHI48220-04180 G LH. the passenger side number is CHI 48210-04540 G RH. These numbers don't even match up with the part numbers in the pdf. Any ideas about these numbers?
Somebody else somewhere said that TW should be part of owning a Tacoma. He's right, you guys are great

Your welcome, :) i think TW is better because theres MORE people that actually get on here and give advice. Whereas, from what i saw, like Toyota Nation all it pretty much is, is agreeing with one another, and just some BS. and another thing i thought was kind of weird ( i know its for al Toyotas) but my opinion it should be a one car/truck Forum, like TW. AND THERES ALOT GREATER AND BETTER PEOPLE ON TW.

After reading the suspension tsb, it appears that it does not aply to regular cab tacomas. Is this true?
