So, I took my truck into Lithia Toyota for my suspension TSB and they did a wonderful job and the difference was night and day...

    Now comes that bad part:

When I got my truck home I noticed that there was what seemed to be wax or some sort of white residue on my rear wheels...I looked a little closer and started cursing the idiots down at the dealership...When the tech put my wheels back on he didnt use or they dont have a thin walled 3/4" socket and the dumb a** totaly chewed up my wheels...How he missed it is beyond me, or he just said screw it he wont notice...So they had me take my truck back in this morning to see if they can fix them...My wheels are powder coated matte black and I see no way of fixing them and told them that if they were not satisfactory they were going to have to buy me new ones...

    Good Luck.... that sucks...

Keep us posted.... Everything went Perfect with mine down there.
(You should have a survey coming soon via mail make sure you note those things.)

I have familty that worked for corporate at Lithia and said Toyota does so well with sales etc. that they are never repremanded for poor things they do because they bring in so much more $$ than other dealers.

I was going to bring my truck to a dealer ship today to have the front end aligned but was worried about this exact same thing happening so I decided not to go to a dealer. Sorry to see that happen to you, keep us posted.

So, I drop my truck off at 9am and they called me to say it was done at noon...The service advisor told me that they had fixed them...

Their fix: Painting over the gouges they had created in hopes of me accepting them...

My Solution: I told them that I had just put them on the truck 2 1/2 weeks ago and that I wanted to be the one who put the first scratches in them...Then I asked them how in the hell did the tech no see it or was he/her just no giving a sh*t, they had no answer...So they did the respectable thing and ordered me 2 new wheels...Then the advisor said that they would have the tire shop who put them on in the first place mount the new ones....DUHHHHHH, like I wanted to go throught that again...

They did do the right thing but still, what a pain in the arse...

Glad to hear they did the right thing and took care of there mistake now you need to ask for all of your inconvenience and wasted time coming down there to take care of a problem Toyota caused in the first place the least they can do is fill up your tank with some high dollar petro. :p
There is a good chance Toyota will be sending you a survey in regards to your recent warranty service experience I am sure they might be willing to bargain with you.

Brutal. I would have gone ballistic. At least you kept your cool and got it taken care of. Hopefully the gorilla that did this is now parking cars instead of servicing them.

you might want to clean the dirt out of those pockets in the frame. It will eventually lead to rot.......

Did you have to prove bottoming out to get the TSB done?

That depends on the stealer. Where i took my truck, i just told them in a pissed-kind on way that i needed my truck to haul heavy stuff and the bitch was bottoming out. So the guy just ordered the parts and installed them without checking for any rubbing... which was a good thing.:D

I swear mine bottomed out the other day with 4 people inside! Is this typical without the TSB being done?

Yes it is!!! Mine did that from new so I put air bags in. Last fall I had the TSB done and all is well although I still pump up the rear bags if I have two dirtbikes in the back and my 17' travel trailer hooked up.

They want to keep my truck for a day to check it out, then if their tech determines that I need the tsb have me bring it back in for another day to have the work done, why can't they just take my word that the back of my truck drops 6" when I put a 4000 lb trailer on the back of it, maybe I'll just swing by with the trailer on the back and see if they'll order me the parts then.

All they need to know is that you are unhappy with the ride in the backend and that you have the (bad) 3 leaf pack...That is what the TSB is for...
