I'm wondering how a Tundra double cab (not crewmax) compares to a Tacoma double cab in terms of rear legroom. The specs on the Tundra say 34.7 inches while the Tacoma says 32.6 inches. But looking at the size of the doors and actually sitting in them both the Tacoma seems bigger. Is this just an illusion? I'm wondering if I go the Tundra double cab if I'd be loosing space compared to the Tacoma double cab.

I had both. The DC in the tundra was a bit more space than the Tacoma DCSB

Just to clarify I'm asking about rear legroom.

I replaced my 2015 taco dc for a 2016 tundra dc. The tundra has a lot more room than the taco. Also Very comfortable and ride much smoother

Tundra doesn't have access cab. It's actually called the double cab, which OP would be referring to.

x3 on the opinion the Tundra has more room in the backseat, especially if you factor in that its wider.

    Legroom per Edmunds.com
    32.6" Tacoma
    34.7" Tundra

    Hip room
    56.5" Tacoma
    62.6" Tundra
