Anybody have a shop recommendation in/around the Portland metro area for a Tundra brake upgrade on my 2004 Tacoma? Thanks!

Why not do it yourself, it’s one of the easiest things you can do on your truck.

I wouldn't go that far, but it is a relatively straight forward process.

@blaze1, given that it's a relatively easy upgrade, any shop could do it. Search around here, there are several threads of people who have listed out all the parts they needed and where they got them.

Make sure you have the right wheels (15" wheels will NOT work, and even some 16's may not work). Then get your rotors, calipers and brake lines and take it to a shop for the install if you're not confident with your mechanical skills.

If you have 17" wheels you can also use the 4runner v8 sport model brakes which are the same as GX470 brakes. 13WH if I remember correctly and use 332mm rotors.
its like the tundra brake upgrade with a slightly larger rotor (332mm vs 319mm), and the caliper is basically the same but spaced a little more out.

I run 17" wheels so I am going to be putting on my set of gx470 calipers here pretty soon.
the tundra one is good also especially if you want to run some 16" wheels that may fit, but if you run the 4runner v8 or GX brakes you will need 17" rims as its very close.

also its easy to do the upgrade on these cars, its basically like replacing the caliper and rotor but with larger parts. once you take the wheel off its one brake line and 2x 14mm bolts that hold the caliper on. you will want a breaker bar handy they are usually tight, but once you break them loose they will spin out and its easy from there.
