mostly it seems to take it a while to shift, it does not matter if i am just putting it in gear or driving it just seems to shift really slow. if i am in reverse and put it in drive and press the gas most of the time it will not go (this is for a split second) and then you can feel it go into gear and it will jump.

I'm not certain of conversion units so someone else will have to do the math. But from what I was told 16mpg is the same as 16liters/100km. So it should be around 17.5-18 mpg

    Haha thanks Judy!
    I originally was gonna get an 05-06 Tundra/Sequoia or 05-08 Sierra/Silverado
but I was getting stiffed on the trade in value on my truck and I finally sold her for 18,750 privately which was enough to pay for an 05 chevy Avalanche LT3 Z71 4x4 that had 80,000 miles on it and needed a new passenger side window motor and and had a bent steering shaft its part of the steering column but it was no more than 500 dollars to fix and that didnt really bother me cause I just wanted to get this process over with and get into a bigger truck, and i was all set to buy it but my dad wanted me to talk to my friend who is one the top salesman at the local toyota dealership and he gave us a special deal on a brand new Tundra 4x4 5.7 with a back up cam, homelink mirror bed liner etc, so we went with the Tundra :)

And I named my Tundra Lilly ;)

I do miss my Tacoma and the gas miles thats for sure lol.

By the way the mods on your Tundra look great! Glad you were able to put in factor fogs and a painted grille surround

if i remember i’ll get a pic of dads tomorrow. brother has had it for like 6 or 8 weeks. he got a ’09 silverado and got in a crash like 2 days later. ( he was fin and i think he went down as no fault. i know they tried getting the girl with neglajest (i don’t know to spell that. lol) she was waiting to make a turn across a 4 lane high way and had half her suv sicking out side ways with the tail lights facing the far side of the road in the left lane and my brother could not see her tail lights. saw his head lights hit the black suv and could not do anything but brake and hit her. he got it back last week.

Glad you were able to work a deal for Lily!!
The exhaust is a nice match for all that power. What other mods are you going to do?
And yes the no fogs in the front were bugging me plus I like the color match grill. Very easy switch for both. The fogs are pre-wired. Next will be adding a back up camera after tax return $$.
Are you disabling your nannies? I have read at TT that gives the 5.7 full power & really, really lites them up! lol
Congratulations and how it worked out for you.

Been gone for awhile: As some of you might remember, I was in an accident in mid-Sept in my 2010 Tacoma TRD DC. After getting her repaired, she just didn’t feel the same. So, while at the dealership for my next scheduled oil change, I saw this beautiful loaded super white Tundra SR5 TRD Off Road CrewMax sitting on the showroom floor… one moment behind the steering wheel and I knew she was mine.

    MODS COMPLETED SO FAR:
    - Low Range Off Road 3/1 leveling kit
    - aFe Stage 2 Si Cold Air Intake w/Pro Dry 5 filter
    - aFe Silver Bullet throttle body spacer
    - Magnaflow cat-back stainless exhaust with TRD tip
    - Line-X’d bed and full window tint including eyebrow from the dealer
    - Toyota running boards
    - OEM power towing mirrors with defrost and signals
    - Westin wraparound grille guard/push bar ($150 from Craigslist)
    - Toyota “Tundra” door sill/scuff covers
    - Weathertech all-weather mats all the way around
    - Wood grain dash kit and shifter (off Ebay—and installed by my wife!)
    - Tractor Supply low-profile toolbox
    - Elite Off Road hitch guard
    - AVS In-channel window deflectors
    - AVS Aeroskin hood deflector
    - Cobra 75 WX ST CB radio and antenna

Tomorrow, I get my new wheels installed…18x9 Ballistic Off Road Jesters with 5.5 backspace and +12 offset. The wife says the tires will have to wait a bit longer… damn.

    NEXT MOD
    - Tires!
    - TRD (anti)sway bar
    - Custom airbrush work on my engine/plenum cover

I’m still in the Tacoma family… I still have my 2000 SR5 4X4 Xtra Cab w/2.7L manual—and I still love driving her most of all!

He's a friend of mine... master certified mechanic. Does custom auto work on the side in his backyard--he had the lift and slab installed in '09. The supports go down to a base buried 30" or so... it ain't going anywhere.

Thanks gents. He's lifted F-350s and Ram 3500s on that thing without blinking an eye, so my truck was a piece-o-cake. It's the 3rd lift/kit he's done for me.

As for hauling... only about 6.5K if I'm fully loaded with my family's travel trailer. Occasional toy hauling (2 loaded ATVs, one bike). No biggie for the Tundra. It was fast before the exhaust, CAI, throttle body spacer... now it simply hauls ass.

The 75 is the hand held unit with all the controls in the mic... the power module(?) is mounted under the center console (currently shoved up under there really :). Ran the power to the fuse box with an Add-a-Fuse... SWR finally came in at 1:1 after a bit of jacking around with the antenna location and adding a good ground wire to the mount. No static or whistling from the radio.

It's actually a 10 inch lift on 38s he had 40s on there for sema but they killed the power even for a 5.7 v8
