well you talked me into. he basically claims that its a 900-1000 whp kit and it doesn't matter what size motor its on that's how much it can make, because that's how much air it can flow, if the fuel can keep up it will make that many ponies since the engine is just an air pump

Been a bit distracted the past few days. Transmission shit the bed over the weekend. Wished it was a boost related issue.

 

Interesting. Good for a 1/4 mile pull if you don't want to turbo or supercharge. The cool factor isn't there.

Brice came over, last Saturday. Did a little modding and trouble shooting. Topped off the night with a few 40 to 60 pulls. With his boost holding steady at 6psi, his is pretty dang quick! That was enough reward for me, after helping with the hood struts.

He has done well with his build.

 

We also learned that an external transmission cooler has just navigated its way up his priority list. Lol.

 

As for me, I have been collecting more materials and supplies to start my exhaust fabrication. It is getting close, and I am both anxious and excited.

 

I'm lookin at a B&M (70268) unit for the trans as we speak. 2nd gear @40mph to 1st gear shifts are really hot apparently lol.

Also the reason my A/c was squealing so bad is because my tensioner pulley fell off lol. I told matthew I though i heard a tool fall out of the engine bay as we pulled away . fixed it today and all is good.

 

well that explains the squeak!

 

Made that 50 lbs hood feel like 5. I am really spoiled by my CF hood.

That sounds good. I should probably make a traction bar system first though, as I don't think my rear suspension would last too long at the strip with this sort of wheel hop, eventually something has to break I think. I just don't know what bar design to go with. I keep going back to a triangular heim joint setup, one heim above the other, both attached to the rear axle and one heim attached to the frame, or a custom support.

You were also talking about a system that put two bars towards the center of the axle and then attached to the frame and that lucario runner used that on his f-250?

On a side note- in KirkRio's build thread he bypassed the SAIS with a resistor, but never said what value (and he hasn't been on in forever), and if he was physically able to remove the pump from the manifold area. I saw the Slyfox75 bypass, but still was unsure. Anyone have any insights?
