Either way motor looks happy with those twin snails and custom manifold.

 

You probably probe where it reads resistance or find the write up in the fsm.

Most don't recommend painting it black though...but then again, most people don't boost Tacomas except us lucky few!

 

Those results make sense, good to know the losses are pretty marginal. Off to the hardware store!

 

Indeed- and honestly we're not running crazy high boost or high-flow requirements with these motors, so I doubt it'd make that much of a difference. I personally will be painting my IC piping wrinkle black, to keep a stealthy look. The IC itself will stay silver, as it'll be tucked behind the grille anyways.

 

engineering explained also did a video saying that while the MCM vid was partially correct, layers of paint (regardless of color) do insulate the IC and thus decrease the ability to transfer heat as well. I doubt it makes a huge difference either way but it will effect it some
