@Hacktacular is pretty damn well versed. I am pretty dang good myself.

@arcenik has the most experience with your specific engine.

Look up Haltech on YouTube, then go through their Technically Speaking videos, tutorials, and Q&A.

Looks for bubbles in the overflow, while moving the throttle blade by hand.

    Probably another Vacuum leak.

Got my intercooler delivered, so with the 1hr I had left of daylight after work, decided to start mocking it up and checking fitment. Pretty happy so far! I'll be eliminating the couplers on the straight section with the BOV and MAF flanges, and the coupler between the 2 90 degree pieces. This will allow me to run non-intercooled at first if needed, and also make installation/removal easier for maintenance. Just have to clock the MAF so it's at 12 o'clock, and the BOV will be about 60 degrees to allow hood clearance.

These 2nd gens have plenty of space between the grille and radiator...it's like Toyota knew we'd be modding these trucks!
I'm able to retain the factory hood latch and vertical support, as the intercooler is a 27.5" x 7" x 2.5"
I'll be 3D printing the intercooler support brackets, which are easy as hell, as they're just right-angle flat pieces.
Horn will be relocated...somewhere else lol.

Just need vacuum line, water lines/fittings, and waiting on my AEM boost gauge!

Your going to trust some 3d printed plastic to hold your IC down?

If its just 90º chunks, just use some angle iron.

Wow today after work I started up the truck let it warm up a little bit and as I was driving I noticed the oil pressure was going up as high as 130+ Usually it’s 90 before it warms up. Once it warmed up the lowest was 25 and highest was 90. This is unusual for my truck normally it’s 0 at idle not 25 psi. I suspect the gauge but would anything else cause this ?

You haven't worked with 3D printing before, have you? It's extremely strong, and can help prototype parts before moving to other materials if desired.
PLA has amazing strength, and I determine how much fill the part has. Intercoolers aren't heavy, and L-shaped brackets are easy to make, with extra reinforcing gussets if you're so concerned.
I've made light bar brackets, toys, mock-up parts for RC cars, and a stepstool out of PLA that can hold my 180lb fat ass...I'm not worried about an intercooler, that's also supported on the bottom.

A funny thing a co worker show me today that he saw on the road. A chevy silverado with a turbo welded to the end of the tail pipe to work as a noise maker. People found a use for ebay turbos. You can actually hear the spool sound in the video. I don't think he is going to post it online or I'd share it.

Bw s256 turbo with 3 in glass pack dumped pre axle raptor liner bed and top rails and fenderflares and rocker panels. Hunter side steps. Plasti-dipped upper fenders and emblems. satin black spray paint here and there inside and out. 5100's set to 1.75" up front . C channel front bumper. Maxxis bighorn 255/85/16
That is the best way to spool a chevy and not blow it up tbh

We have this new 3d printer at work. The main material is a nylon x carbon fiber blend. I can't break that stuff. It just bends a bit, but I can layer a strand of carbon to add rigidity. Best part too, 100 micron resolution.

Yeah I work in a school, and we have carbon-reinforced PLA. If you print with a honeycomb or even solid fill, you can't break that shit! We had a student print a minion (75% honeycomb fill) from Despicable Me with it, and they stood on its body at 75lb and didn't break it lol.

I’m with black dawg I wouldn’t trust anything printed since ya know it’s for prototyping but on the other hand I’ve seen duct tape do things a team of engineers couldn’t repeat.

Worst case scenario it’s hanging from your charge pipe clamps.

Ive seen defibrillator parts get fda approved for 3d printing. If using high quality materials it can be damn reliable.
