Just pull your manifold again to change it out. You probably got it down to like 15 now!

 

So it looks like Thursday I’ll be replacing the fuel filter again. It shouldn’t take more than 2 hrs and I’ll definitely check for leaks too.

 

Does your FPR see vacuum? Because when you apply vacuum (stock, the FPR only sees ambient pressures), the FPR diaphragm restricts fuel flow. My truck drives wierd when I have the FPR connected to the intake manifold (sees vacuum), so I have it on the charge pipes

 

Mine is at the TB but in this position it was at a steady pressure when throttle was opened it was still steady. Now its down in pressure by about 4-8 psi and when you open the throttle it drops another 5 or so psi then back to the lower pressure. I suspect fuel filter needs to be changed.

If he's running bigger injectors it would make sense for him to make his FRP see vacuum, it will lower the fuel pressure at idle. Its more about differential pressure that the injectors see then fuel pressure.

The whole point of having the FRP raise with boost is differential pressure at the injectors also increases with boost.

I know, I get it... but in a low fuel pressure situation, the FPR should see boost only. I also have my FPR boost referenced, but that is only for boost fueling. There is a threshold of injector size that can be reached (going up in size) that you will hit where the ECU can no longer reduce the injection pulse which will cause a rich running situation. I don’t believe that his (bigger than stock) injectors are big enough to effect the ECU’s ability to do so... so therefore letting the FPR see vacuum is only shortening its lifespan.

Since Gato is out, I need to get a different turbo to work with the LCE manifold

 

I’m going to be taking off my intake tomorrow for the 5th time in 2wks would it be better to change the gaskets

I was sad for a bit, then realized how far the money from the EFR would go. And i'm antsy and want to chooch now.......

 

They’re metal gaskets so they should be fine. That’s just my opinion

 

Please tell me you are getting a ball bearing replacement....
