Sorry for the wait, but the hose clamp didnt give me my missing boost... That has to be a pretty big boost leak to keep me below 5 psi right? It may be some other couplers ill go through and check all then next

Have you done a smoke test? You can buy a cheap cigar and just a couple puffs will tell you immediately where the leak is

Vape will definitely work. Just take the coupler off of the turbo outlet and give it a nice blow through sealing the coupler around your mouth.

I started smoking when i was young and when i was dating my wife she would get tired of it so i would dip and she would get tired of that so i would start smoking again, about a year and a half i talked her into lettin me start vapin and its been pretty smooth since (minus when i busted a tank and had to wait on a replacement) she still will say i need to quit like every other month but she gets over it much better than tobacco

Ok makes sense, i supposed atleast 1 side of the valves are closed so it wont go into the exhaust side of things and it build some pressure to find the leak?

I went from smelling like an ash-hole to smelling like strawberries and cotton candy lol

A welcomed change, and the ladies seem to enjoy it more

Yeah you’ll still be able to find leaks in the charge pipes even if the smoke goes through to the exhaust

And depending on the number of watts that your vape box is pulling, you might be able to spot any exhaust leaks at the same time too

Stay away from buttery flavors that contain diacetyl. Vaping can actually be beneficial if you don’t buy cheap liquid... the nicotine helps your body to get rid of certain toxic metals associated with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s

Diacetyl is a non issue, even if you vape 100% butter flavor.

'Popcorn lung' comes from workers in microwave popcorn facilities where diacetyl ppm is constantly very high for 8-12 hours a day.

Also, butter flavors are gross. Dessert flavors too

I know a dude with medical bills that would suggest that it isn’t a non-issue... but I’m no scientist. I can’t imagine someone vaping this chemical straight into their lungs all day being any less exposed than a worker in a plant durring a normal shift. I’d rather stay away from it though regardless

You know a guy who has lung problems because of vaping butter flavored juice? Or was it not USP grade glycerin?

Lab grade propylene glycol with butter flavor. Everytime he used that flavor, he had trouble breathing. Went to urgent care and was instructed to stay away from diacetyl and hasn’t had issues once he stopped using the stuff.

Gnarly, that would be the first case I have heard of. My company produces a product that contains butter flavors and have not had any similar complaints. Seems like an allergy?

Most food companies have discontinued its use and replaced it with safer flavorings, but it’s still used for non-food items such as Eliquid (although most of those companies don’t use it anymore either). It’s effect is accumulative because it is not easily absorbed... so it saturates the bronchioles with repeated inhalation and begins to disallow air to fill the bronchioles which can cause scaring in sever cases. Does your company absolutely use diacetyl, or is there a possibility that it’s one of the substitute flavorings following the hype?
EDIT: and yes this is still turbo related because I don’t want yota243 to have health issues while he’s looking for boost leaks lol xD

Test also by driving without your air filter on. Spray around the injectors at their base in the manifold.

If it isn't a boost leak, what if it is your wastegate opening too soon and reacting like 3 psi is 8 psi?
