battery and coolant overflow will need to be relocated. the hood latch support needs to be removed and the latch itself trimmed. seems real floppy without the support so il have to so something about that. could always go with hood pins too.

other than that its literally just a 90* silicone joiner at each end that goes through a hole i cut between the headlight and rad. i can only see this working with the 95-97 headlights. its tight. the tubing in pic needs to be shortened.

 

the manifold studs i mean. most of them came out but 3 are giving me a hard time.

 

Can u put a nut over it and weld the nut to the stud?

Those are never fun. An easy out is your best bet at this point.

I personally will not do another install of those CX headers while the engine is in the truck. I've never had a worse time doing anything. As easy as it is to yank the engine...

 

Lol... yes the struggle is real. Took me like 5 hours to get my headers in. Was it ever worth it though

 

The second time I did them it was pretty easy. Drop the starter and your golden and with a swivel joint and an extension the drivers side isn't tea bag either.

Then again that whole build raised my tolerance for crap by quite a bit...

 

Same here. That was the single biggest job I had ever done on a vehicle all at once. Still enjoying all that work 4 years later though

 

Room to get a propane torch in there, to heat expand things, then wrench them off?

 

read post again used a MAP gas torch yes. All studs came out with the nut on drivers side. not a single one wants to come on passenger side. thankful to the 1" bodylift for giving me that extra bit of room to work with.

 

Update on mine: I bought the AEM fuel pump and I'll be putting that in Thursday. I'm still waiting on the patch harness that will be in hopefully by the end of February and I can start wiring in the AEM Fic. The Volvo is running really good for an 06' It was well taken care of. The front skates around when you floor it (FWD)

I know the struggle of waiting for the boost to kick back in after an up shift.

 

i know they are a little different animals since I have an auto, but I notice an increase in boost upon upshift (if not already at peak) or a decrease in vacuum, because the load is increased when it shifts to a higher gear... noted in basically all of my videos that have the boost gauge in view (this was early in my boost adventure went I had some exhaust leaks but you can still see what I am talking about)
