I really hate how the oil drips on the frame. Always need to pressure wash my truck after an oil change.

 

Brake clean works great!

 

At least I only put 3-5k on my truck a year. So it's only a once a year oil change.

 

Tell me you wash your baby more than that?!

 

I actually only got around to ordering them today. Last fill-up I added a little bit of fuel system treatment and it helped. This weekend I'll see if I can get my lazy ass to clean the MAF and throttle body, since I've never done it since owning the truck (2.5yr) lol.

 

I do. She gets cleaned every few months.

@MrCrowntown , what's the unofficial word on the progress with your turbo kit?

 

I feel like @Torspd is the dad of the group right now, checking up on all of us lol.

I apologize for my ranting it doesn’t help the forum out. I’m just being impatient. I’m definitely grateful for all the help from the forum and from the companies that sponsor the form and I’m excited to get my truck running good. It’s been a long time one year actually since the start of the project.

No I was ranting about better communication and really I was just being impatient I’m probably the only one that even noticed it.

 

Here’s something interesting though if anyone remembers I was having a problem with fuel pressure being too low I changed the fuel pump the fuel filter the fuel pressure regulator and gauge thinking that it was the gauge. Today I drove my truck after it sat for a while everything seems OK but the fuel pressure is low again. WOT afr’s are 9.0-10.0

 

On the 5vz, the regulator does NOT get vacuum, it will make the fuel pressure lower. It only needs to reference atmosphere, or in your case, a boost only source. Is it hooked to vacuum source?
