Yeah Im gonna have to do the ol 2 gallons of denatured alcohol trick again and disconnect the charge pipe. Cant believe its been two years already. Ive beat on this thing hard in boost and it hasn't fazed it one bit. Little oil leak here and there is all.

 

Dude I just did all that and my truck passed like a freaking electric car would. I swear alcohol and a brand new cat combo is wonderful.

 

Hhmm maybe after my last child moves out and I don't drive over the floating bridges my wife hates those.

 

hey probably a dumb question, but does it mater that I have an open dump pipe, I mean to ask, will that effect how accurate the aem afr gauge is when the WG is open?

 

No. The mixture is the same it's just letting the extra exhaust mixture out.

 

that's kinda what I figured also slight exhaust leak would still have the same effect as well as it's measure the particulates in the exhaust and reading out based on its findings

 

CA is a love hate. More fun when you have a bunch of hurdles to jump through. Everyone would have a boosted tacoma if it was easy.

On another note, sold the ls1. Lost alot of money but you live and learn. Getting an apartment this month so everything on hold for a little bit more

also cost of living is stupid cheap here (I would say compared to cali, it would have an IQ around 50 or so)

 

Hey look mechanical design engineer.

 

Getting a Haltech tuned Baseline dyno, on the first week of April. So I can see what type of changes were made between the stock tune and my tune. As well as what kind of gains are to be had once the turbo is on and tuned in.

 

Are you still going to tinker once they tune it?

 

Let me clarify. The current Haltech tune as is, by my hands. They are only doing the three pulls.

I have a dyno with the OEM ECU controlling everything already. Thus I can compare those differences, as the only change is tuning alone.
