Just watched that yesterday.

 

finally got a chance to give the truck a little pull. with my eyes glued on the afrs they went as high as low 12s at 7.6psi.

But the truck feels supprisingly slow and hits a rev limiter at about 4000rpm. No idea what thats about. im assuming the ecu is pulling all the timing but this is an ecu from a 97.

I believe guys were having a problem with factory knock sensors? one of mine is actually already spliced into the other as a "temporary" fix (that i did like 4 years ago).


my bafx scanner stopped working on me so i cant read the code that popped up. il keep you guys updated

I went driving just to get familiar with this tuning stuff and found that it runs good idling, cruising and 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. WOT is a little lean with afr’s 14-16 since I change the spring in the waste gate to allow 9 psi. I’ve been adding fuel in sections but it hasn’t changed it yet.

 

mine did that pretty bad with the URD kit on it. Still pulls to much but at least I can drive it now.

You should definitely fix the knock sensors or swap them to the GM ones.

You'll have to do some timing tuning as well.

 

waiting on my splice harness. relying on the meth kit atm.

 

i upped the methanol content and it seems to rev out fine now. makes 35s its bitch even with 3.91 gears.
