The mod Gods take no pity upon me. Another challenge, has been dealt to me. How to mount the wastegate. Given that test, I decided to cheat in the interim. Using my knowledge to make power , while I wait for material to arrive.

Roadkill might even tip their hats to this one.

Having already setup the boost map, and being let down by the fitment test, I decided to let the mod Gods know that they can slow me down, but not stop Torspd. Took an aluminum TIG welding rod, and wrapped it around the turbine housing. Strategically, to only allow a limited amount of wastegate travel. Hehehe. Does it build boost as it should, were a wastegate attached, No. Does it build boost? Yes. Tickled my jollies on the first test drive.

I may have found a slight exhaust leak. When ever i get to work on it again im gonna take mist everything off and check all the welds again and maybe wrap some of it (and try and fix a galf dozen other things)

 

Easy enough fix.

 

I think i may have a hole where the clamp is on my down pipe; it touches the passenger side a lil before that goes into the y pipe because its freakin tight. But ill fix it and put some wrap on there for cushion haha

 

Stiffer engine mounts will also prevent that flex which allows those tubes to hit. Make some.

Anyone know the OD on the Valve Stem Seals? I need to find an install tool.
Also, does anyone know if the Toyota seals are Viton? And if so, on intake side too?

Edit:
I should specify 2TR-FE but it seems Toyota uses the same 5.5mm ID seals for dang near everything.
