First gen guys has anyone been successful mounting the IC up high above the bumper if so care to show me where you punched through the front? I’m not a fan of the low mount

My understanding of upgraded cams is they basically have a wider lobe at contact so that it opens/closes the valves sooner/later. Couldn't the same thing be achieved by making the valves/springs longer, so that the cams come into contact sooner/later?

I’m curious how he cut through the front to run it that high?
With all the bends I can imagine a holesaw will have trouble

I don’t know if this helps or if it’s considered high or low but at least you can see where to punch the holes without relocating linesF60B390F-ECAA-4C26-8631-68763230A915.jpg12AD5375-8A33-496A-A84C-EA0C5B317DD6.jpg

You could also use a multipurpose tool.

Anyone care for some 2TR Gumbo?

    E3504082-77A2-42BC-9859-711A2A516576.jpg

    Block in 4lbs of lye

Just finished up the aluminum parts in Simple Green Pro HD
    67C4657F-0A91-4319-A3AF-834ED69755C9.jpg 56AA6D96-CA1E-4409-9493-189D43A79446.jpg AABCA6D0-45D0-40F7-B455-42FDFE3DF8C0.jpg

    They will get painted today.
I’ve decided on cast color block, aluminum color on aluminum and likely red cover.

    GREAT news!
Block is flat and three bores are .00007 over minimum bore, the other is .00012!
    Cross hatching looks good

    Bad news
I can pass .007 feeler under straight edge on the head.
I have to get that surfaced

    Edit:
    Great and relevant read
