    So is there something different than just twin scroll on the turbo? I saw this about mazda using leuvers in the manifold and wondered if a twin scroll could be retrofitted to do basically the same thing

    They have a VTEC style lobe change mechanism on the cam to allow 4 different power modes, as well as dual VVTi with direct injection

    Im sure you could buy a tundy with a 5.7 and sell it to a reg cab guy that wanted to swap in a v8 and take his 2tr and make up the difference for your build from dat extra cheddah

    It definitely all sounds interesting. It's basically what my goals are. Super low spool for low end power but higher max power numbers.

    Alao, I thought the video said 3 power modes plus cylinder deactivation.

    A thing or two...
    I understood it to be the cylinder deactivation is couple with the other 3. Like you could have the fuel eco mode with or without cylinder deactivation, or normal mode with or without cylinder deactivation. Hopefully, they wouldn't pair cylinder deactivation with a power mode.

    If any kind of aftermarket performance stuff crops, I'm sure killing of the cylinder deactivation will part of it. Just like on the v8.

    I am having a hard time thinking how they are going to cylinder deactivate a 4cyl without it shaking itself to bits lol they mentioned a damper system in the torque converter so maybe thats the secret

    I was wondering the same, but i guess if at max power it is making v8 numbers, it sgould be making 4cy numbers on 2 cyl right? And at 1500 rpm (unless some false advertising is a foot)
