Plan to do some work on my work table...underside reinforcement . Might even fiddle with my tune some more. Did last Tuesday, and picked up a good deal of MPG and power.

Get your engine back and build yourself. :cookiemonster:

My friend is waiting for your engine to be squared away, with LCE, so that he can order some parts for his 2TR. Giggity.

700cc 2 stroke with a tuned pipe and milled head. So it's kinda like a turbo that doesn't spool.

I can't disassemble my truck before my trip in Sept. So I'll just be quietly ordering stuff, already have a boomslang on the way because they do a nicer job than I think I could.

Still using stock ecu. Haven't had this problem since I replaced knock sensor. It happens around the 3600 rpm range in 2nd, 3rd gear. Its definitely affects the exhaust like something's going on with combustion. I'm in open loop when it happens and my afrs dont fluctuate with the (deep tone popping ) best way I can describe it. @boostedka I know they are gapped pretty tight, under spec I do believe. And they are ngk bkr6eya

Gentlemen, I have a question. I'm fairly sure I would like knock control and the first Haltech unit that offers that is the Elite 1000, I like the two-step and anti-lag options as well. But mostly I want the knock monitoring. Is there any reason I should consider not going with an ECU that offers knock protection (I mean they offer two options that don't support it at all). I wouldn't mind saving the extra dollars and going with a 550 or 750 if there was no reason to have the knock control. I don't have a good ear for knock what with all the other noises my shitbox makes.

I have the 550 and while I’m no where near an expert or anything on the haltech or the turbo yet I had a hard time justifying the extra for the 1000 doesn’t mean I’m right or wrong i think everyone else has the 1000

Other than lacking knock control it seems the 550 is pretty overkill for the 3RZ on just about every other level. But knock monitoring is pretty important to be missing entirely I think as well. I don't know, the price difference isn't huge, maybe I'll spring for it with the knowledge that one day I'll nail the tune throw in a 550 with that tune and move the 1000 to a vehicle with more potential. Have to find some way to justify it haha
