Keep me updated when you think about it. A low boost application seems to make more sense to me than an OV tune.

Low boost and OV tune could be pretty sweet

OV has their hands full with all the 3rd gens having so many issues lol

I'm happy that mine runs well, even if at minimum power potential lol

    Pistons update:

I opened a PayPal case against Paradise Racing for not receiving the pistons 2.5 months after personally being promised 4-5 weeks by Luis. I have sent quite a few emails directly to Luis and messages through the website, finally receiving one from Luis on 20 July saying is first he's heard of it. He said he would follow-up with the manufacturer next business day and get back to me- I still haven't heard anything back.

And I haven’t requested my money back, just keeping people honest. I have until 21st to request my money, under the case. Getting a message from PayPal will bring reality to their door. They pretty much have a week for them to be in my hand. They could have pocketed my money for a month, ordered them and shipped in 11 weeks.

It sucks but at this point I don’t have anything good to say other than when I finally got my stuff it was good quality. All other aspects were lacking god forbid you have questions or something...

Starting my turbo Project this month, Planning on getting a Haltech 2000. I'm dynojet certified in motorcycle tuning but have no real clue on the auto stuff. My biggest question is when tuning an automatic, what other variables other than AFR/TPS/RPM play a factor? I sit back and think to myself if i'm cruising at lets say 50mph and AT trans is at 5th (OD) and i lay into the throttle enough to speed up but dont break the threshhold of it downshifting, thats going to hurt shit.. Can you program/tune around low rpm high throttle opening/load? is it a table of load etc? unfortunately I dont believe my truck will see a dyno so a lot of this will be tuned by data logging and what ever features i learn to use in the haltech.

Nice, welcome to the club. I don't have an auto trans, but in most cases your transmission is still going to be powered by the factory ecu. So it's going to work just like stock. I believe the haltech has the power to run your transmission, but it's going to need to be designed and tuned by yourself. I don't know of any company that touched your transmission in terms of making it standalone with a haltech. Could contact boomslang to see how they wire up a pnp harness. Depending on how much power you are going to be pushing, valve body upgrade and/or torque converter might happen down the road for you.

Most auto tuning pulls I'll see guys hold back to 3rd gear and do a pull from 3k to redline. Maybe 4th if you fly through 3rd too fast. Might need to start as a higher rpm if it tries to shift at 3k. Probably need to get creative and do different pulls to tuning certain areas of your map. Usually you aren't full spooled up yet around a transmission shift and probably still in closed loop.

No my concern isn't with the transmission, AT = Automatic Transmission. (Not Auto Tune)

My concern is my truck prefers NOT to downshift and puts a lot of stress on the motor... is there different ignition maps/fuel maps depending on Load.. like I can damn near probably squeeze 40% throttle @ 70mph in 5th and I want to help avoid lugging the motor unsafely.. I'd want to pull A LOT of timing in that type of situation and yet i dont always want to be 11.5 afr at 70 mph either.. My transmission will remain stock for awhile.. and i am not looking to control it.. im just asking about Engine management tables.
