I teed mine into the brake booster line.

 

Anyone build your 1grfe turbo manifold off the stock log?

I drive violently off-road an imagine i'd snap a china header.

 

Gusset the heck out of it or plumbing pipe works on the high stress areas

 

This has been my worry, as im already mid travel and planning to run a big turbski.

My plan, if the manifold i have being made doesnt last, is to remote mount the turbo to an engine cage tube and flex pipe to it from the manifold.

 

Think it comes down to building a high quality manifold. Danzio has a few twin turbo trophy trucks out. Turbo just sits on the manifold.

 

Cast stainless would be ideal, and we will see how it ends up

Some steel pipe even. Like how Alan in The Skid Factory chooses to usually make his. Super tough. Just heavy, but requires less gussets. Just need to consider the worst environment it will be in. Then, how difficult it will be to repair, if something does happen.

 

My minor update, getting muuuuuch closer to finishing up the repairs on my Bimmer. Then I can use it as a daily again, and work on the truck's exhaust/external wastegate routing. Very excited to be able to get after that.

Also, I have been searching for hours for an actually good belt sander. Preferably a 6" x 48" belt. Better than the Home Depot and Lowe's brands, while also less expensive than the Baileigh brand. Any thoughts???

Think Better than Eastwood. I am looking for nearly industrial quality. Preferably Chinese. Taiwan is kind of in the not Chinese category.

 

I have a JET band saw at work that I really like. Never used their belt sander but I'm happy with it.

 

I've considered those as well. The reviews of their customer service, put me off though. Sadly.

 

Never needed to use the customer service so I couldn't tell you how it is.
