The turbo just at the top of the page is at a really good price. Might want a .82 for the exhaust unless yours is that large.

Didn’t know the 3rd gen motors had forged rods in them. Will be a very amusing thread.

I have a hard time reading through that thread. Cool so they actually have forged rods?

I found it. Way cool. Going to be a fast truck. That motor has some potential.

Depends on aluminum cost, it wouldn't be nearly as tall as the stock one- stock has a cavity in top to keep mist down, for PCV I'm guessing.
If I get bored enough I'll take measurements and CAD it for a quote, would have to find thread for oil cap.
Opportunity to design something different for the PCV

And now idea of integrating a supercharger that runs off of timing chain pops into my head - damn it!

I've always liked the style of the 2J and RB26 valve covers, as well as the Evo 8/9 ones with the AN fittings for catch cans and such. I do like the fins on ours, though. I'm indecisive Lmao.

I'd love to pick up another cover for my motor and get some an fittings welded on. Such a clean look. 2-3rz have pretty sexy covers I think.

Been continually working with and helping my friend mod his URD S/C 2TR. No personal updates, but I’m still getting my fix through his.

I must say, that after the mods that he had implemented, and the tuning we’ve done, I am very impressed with its off the line acceleration, overall power and acceleration, and drive ability. It has plenty of torque to get it up to speeds.

We recently installed the Tanabe-USA Vac/Boost gauge, as well as their AFR gauge. Admittedly, they could improve the instructions for calibrating the sensor, and I have pointed that out to them via phone call. Otherwise, they are absolutely killer looking and performing, in my opinion.

Point of those being installed is pretty obvious to everyone here. What wasn’t obvious, were the running conditions we were noticing prior to install. Some hesitations in acceleration, and by MAP-ECU, fluctuations in the boost as the RPMs would rise. My initial thoughts were either something with the tune, which hadn’t been modified, or the belt slipping....

Low and behold. Double checked the calibration on the AFR gauge, and WOT AFRs were in the 13’s to 19’s!!!!!

Nice! Good thing you got those gauges on when you did. Boosting w/o an AFR gauge is crazy talk

Indeed. Why he has barely been driving it, under my advisement. Didn't want to hurt any thing.

So did we! In all honesty it ran pretty good. The ignorance was blissful though. My utter shock took over when seeing those AFR's , and made me verify that we calibrated the sensor correctly. Same outcome!

Onto the tune it was, immediately.

For those unaware, the kit uses OEM injectors and a 61lb 5th injector.

I may be incorrect, but without the AFR module, no OEM fueling can be adjusted. Correct?

With the tune for the 5th injector, the whole map had to be increase sooner, and capped out. Still cannot get enough fuel!

This is with the 80mm pulley, LCE header, and cats removed. Peak boost at 11 psi.
