    What would be the best way to bump up the idle rpm? Stock ECU. I've done it before with the throttle cable but would that be the smartest way to go about it

    I’ve got a VW OEM spec turbo in a box after putting a bigger one on my Jetta. I don’t quite understand the intricacies of the various trims but found a replacement turbo on fleaBay listing them. I doubt that this little snail would move enough air but if it did then it’d save me some coin.

    Wonder what the color shift looks like after some use? I believe that was the screamer pipe, on a turbo setup.

    It could get pretty loud. Sometimes even louder than the turbo itself. Kinda sounds like compressor hose shooting air but not

    I personally don't like an external gate vented to atmosphere. I like it routed back into the exhaust. It may be my obsession with supras though lol

    Some people (like me) like the sound of an open dumped gate...others don’t. I also like that you don’t lose any power routing it back into the exhaust.

    It definitely is pretty loud though. Sounds like a jet plane. Lol. It does drown out the turbo some. You can also get a little muffler for it too to quiet it down some.

    Wired up my ebcs, air temp sensor, bypassed oem air sensor on maf, and bypassed egr. Might have time to plug it in tonight. That big yellow mess of tape is my resistors I soldered in so they don't rattle apart.

    My update isn't as cool as yours, but I did just a few moments ago order the few remaining material pieces that I need to re-route my turbo. Hopefully. :fingerscrossed:

    How these things go though, it will likely not be the case. Lol.
