In all fairness, I believe he meant how much can be useful street driving before things start to get squirrely

Since the 2TR has wideband, a Haltech 1500 wouldn't need the WB1 right?

If you have a way to tap into it as an analog output, possibly. However, the Haltech uses the older style wideband, versus what our vehicles have, which is piezoelectric.

That might be a better question for their tech support.

I already purchased this, back when I was fooling around with the DIY Supercharger
    https://www.plxdevices.com/SM-AFR-Gen4-Wideband-AFR-with-MultiGauge-Link-p/897346002870.htm

This link says it has analog output- I don't have that gauge, was just using the phone app.

I think I'm gtg, this installation pdf says just connect a single wire to ecu
    https://www.plxdevices.com/v/vspfiles/support/user_guides/SM-AFRGen2_user_guide.pdf

    edit:
So now I'm thinking this thing is the equivalent of the WB1 lol

Oh yeah kisses for my new precious. And some sweet words of encouragement as we approach 20psi. Were going to have a great lasting relationship.

I have the same WB gauge in my truck now. Before installing the Megasquirt I was using it with the narrowband output to the ecu. It was pretty simple. Basically just run a wire from the top left connector on the afr module to the stock ecu’s OX wire at the ecu plug. You just de-din the stock wire form the ecu plug and insert the wire from the old module in place of it. Truck fired right up.

Edit: just read your other posts. Saw that you’re wiring to the Haltech. Idk how that works. My MS has a O2 wire that simply connects to the wide band output from the plx afr module. The bottom right pin

Only thing to add the WB1 is can based. So you get a feedback if it happens to die.

    PLX uses LSU4.9 (piezoelectric)

I purchased the PLX last year because the LSU4.9 is the "new thing", didn't quite understand all the whys at the time but clearer now:
    Faster
    No calibration needed
    Accuracy across range
    Longer service life

    Think I lucked up

4.9 is the shit. AEM and depo racing use the same sensor also. It's fast. I've been running mine since 2014.

    A thing or two...
Take another look at that Haltech schematic you linked to. They list suggested uses for certain wires. Second page, about halfway down, on the right side of the connector, AVI 1 and AVI 6 are listed as the preferred o2 inputs.
