This actually makes real, factual sense, and funny as well.

Coming from a Honda background, not really, I just had a '99 Prelude is all but I was deep into it for sure. It makes perfect sense. The 2TR is iron block, forged guts, with alu head. About 2x the displacement of the popular 1.whatevers in the Honda world that are similar builds.
Those tuner d-bags love a good ebay turbo kit and push the components to max psi on the reg. Most over 10psi iirc. And without a proper tune or ECU.

B series -1.8L
H - 2.2L
K - 2.0 or 2.4L (latter being more common now)
J - 3.2 or 3.5L

 

Looks like I'm gonna build a NA all motor 2tr. ftmfwaf

 

H series, at least mine, was alu block and head. #1 reason it ate the ever living piss outta quarts of oil, without a better gasket kit.

 

valve seal guides and higher crankcase pressure when in vtec are the #1 cause.

i just spent all weekend at the roadcourse with my K series and hardly burned any.

 

It was like a Bond car when I got into vtec range.

I'm just comparing they way the Honda motors get built in terms of similarity to the 2tr. If they can run 10psi straight out the box ebay junk with no tuning or ECU, then we should be able to pull something like that off. With more displacement = more power (in theory)

I want to do the same with the motor that gets pulled from my truck for the turbo block! Put it in a sand car or a retired class 10 lol

 

I'm just going for longevity with hp/tq as secondary gains

 

I've never worked with a 2TR but I know on my 3rz, the Megasquirt3 standalone made a big difference in non boost/vac areas. The timing map tuning is where you can really can more power and responsiveness in NA.

 

Any specs on that engine? I'd definitely like to read what was done.

 

Unfortunately no someone posted the video a long time ago and recently I spent a while trying to find it to show a friend.

 

Haltech in my truck now, NA for a few more weeks, really has made a difference. I'm afraid if I'd of got a proper tune I would never have bit on the turbo.

 

The turbo amplifies that fun factory. You'd have come around. We'd have influenced you in the right direction.

 

anyone looking for 10an line or possibly some 90° fittings?

 

Do we know that that Suzuki is 2tr swapped?
