There were some big bore 4 bangers in the ‘70s. 300-400ci type motors out of Detroit. I just can’t seem to find them with my google right now.

 

All the rev limits! Already do that wheeling anyway, keeps the carbon build ups at bay

I added a resistor.
The Boomslang harness is not 100% pnp btw. I contacted them about a wire change, they admitted making a mistake and said they'll change it up in the future. I've since had to source the pins and add wires for pins they didn't utilize. They should have included flying leads for the pins they didn't use for the beater they tested it on; only lead they included with mine was for the boost controller. I've also had to cut the harness wires to make connections they didn't. If you're decent at reading schematics I'd entertain buying a $200 pnp and the two Haltech connectors and make your own. Don't get me wrong- I don't regret my decision to buy it but could have done it easily for 75% the cost, same amount of my time.

 

Getting the "Cruise" light to come on was as much a pain.

 

So I'm basically running on the Haltech with 100% use of everything now, you wouldn't be able to tell if I didn't tell you except it drives as smooth as butter. I finished the flex fuel sensor today, NEX Mall gas station on Oahu has 8% ethanol btw haha

I too immediately realized how smooth it ran, with the Haltech.

I remember pics from your friends with balance shaft out the side of the block- this happens due to running at higher rpm than stock?
So if I don't run higher than 5.5-6k rpm there's no reason for this to happen, correct?
