I shouldn’t be complaining that my truck is a tight fit. Everything heat sensitive is right there

 

Sic! That’s DP fitment is surgical!

 

The beauty of this location and DP, is now that since the A/C lines have been cut to be re-routed, there is not a space limitation there. Allowing for better air filter locations, ease of access to the oil dip stick, and power steering reservoir. Might even be able to put my windshield washer reservoir back in. Maaaaaaybe.

Holly is going to be receiving some investment money soon. Holley flame guard. Good stuff. I had to manipulate the brake lines a whole lot. They look good though.

I have the PTP turbo blanket and 50' of wrap. Very likely will need another 50'.

It's for you. Well I guess for whoever has some experiance with a turbo build. I have this thread and your build thread both open.

I started looking into locations in the engine bay and and where you have your turbo is where the air valves are. So befor I go into multiple hours of searching i figured I'd throw my question out there.

 

Gotcha. The '05-'11 models do not have the SAIS. Plenty of room.

The SAIS simulator may be an option for you.

 

The balance shaft wasn't the culprit. It was oil starvation due to just removing the chain the the balance shaft rotating assemblies. He sent a rod through the block lol there should be no immediate issues with the balance shafts, so boost on, or install the balance shaft delete and worry less

 

I would have rather read this before I started building haha would have made my decision easier.
So I was reading Porsche forums, those guys have large 4 cyls... and they discuss this quite a bit apparently. They actually reference large Toyota 4 cyls having theirs' removed lol. I took note of some of their more respected professional builders/racers; they recommend that if the internals have been upgraded (especially lightened) and balanced then leaving the balance shafts will actually introduce vibrations and to remove them, an unopened engine should keep them. I've had my internals upgraded/lightened, weight matched and crank balanced so I figured best to remove. I left them in place, so I don't have to buy a kit and worry about my oil pressure changing.
