I didn't. I used the same 180k studs/nuts and exhaust mani gasket. Sealed up fine. My truck was from the SW, though, where shit doesn't fall apart from rust.

I bought new ones, preparing for mine to snap or some other fiasco, but they were more than fine. Just used a good MLS gasket and new copper nuts and haven't had an issue in 25k miles. Only had to replace my T25 gasket due to a stud loosening up and creating a leak. I've had to replace the donut gasket just after the DP, as well.

What to do with the VSV? I connected the harness but it's to atmosphere atm

I have mine just blowing into no man's land. I get a CEL every few startups, but no limp mode. I'm looking into the Hewitt Tech bypass, as I'd like to just remove it altogether. I know KirkRio used a resistor to bypass his, but that won't work for my year I believe.

I'm talking about 25860 in this pic, for vapor I believe
    25860.jpg

I unplugged the air pump and unbolted that bad boy, no problems here but I'm not using the stock ecu anymore; I'm thinking I'm good to remove the Vacuum Switching Valve too but want to make sure it won't screw with my fuel system.

How awful would this intake routing be if I can make it work by cutting the 180 and rotating it a bit. I'm sure having 3 90° bends isn't ideal. Any other ideas? The k&n Apollo inline filter is my other option but then I'm not sure if I'll have room for the MAF sensor. Or anyone know of any factory intakes that are inline?

Edit: I have a snorkel hence the reason for not just going with a CAI

Hey but seriously, there's a trick to installing those clips. I'm not even going to try and find the link I posted but that video made night/day difference on piston 2-4 lol

Hey I'm trying to finalize the hardware I need for the turbo. For the inlet the turbo and flange have no threads so I'm assuming it's just a bolt but are there any specific types I should use. Also for the downpipe I have the 5 hole setup and from what I've been seeing do people use studs on that area. Does anyone know the thread size?

I did 5w-30 which made an improvement from the 0w-20 I used to put in. I think Valvoline was on sale at Walmart. Also next time I'm going to try the Amazons oil
