The downpipe and air piping was holding it in place. There was a bolt but no nut.

Why would safety wire be a bad idea?

Let me back track. Nothing really wrong with it. Just sounds like a pain in the ass to do correctly to a turbo compared to a nice stud and nut.

I should also note my manifold isn't threaded for studs so I'm using grade 8 bolts lol. I plan on doing my valve cover gasket so I'm taking it all out for to make more room.

Don't you have the Shanghai Waystar manifold like I do? I used Kinugawa stainless studs with copper lock nuts without an issue. The studs have a square top head which makes it easy to grab onto for installation.

Finally found components for 4an oil feed line, will be installing that after the truck cools down.

I'm having a hard time deciding on upgrading the clutch or doing the A340 swap because I'm slipping. The LCE dual clutch will do. I found a local A340F with 26 miles (truck totaled on way home from dealership ) for $900, really considering it. I haven't seen a clean install of an auto with FJ shifter yet. I'll likely have to make another drive shaft, crossmember too. But I hate my first gear sooooo much
    :annoyed:

A340 does pretty good imo, Supra guys seem to like it too.

Anyone know if we can preorder the 2020 Supras yet? My fiance told me I can get a car :D
I was turned off by the BMW engine in the Toyota (I like BMWs too, just didn't sit right with me) but then I looked into that engine (B58) last night and it's legit. I'm afraid to go to the dealership

I read an article where two drifters in Japan were given 2020 Supras and immediately put 2JZz in them haha

I love my a340 after I did the transgo kit. First is hot rod setting and the rest is truck and it feels so good. :jerkoff: I can even pick a gear and force it to shitf when I want too because the shifts are much quicker

Installed the 4an oil inlet plumbing, that was quick and easy. I could have used a 18” line instead of 24”, no worries.

Just rotated that line a little, so it doesn't rub
