Well the three I was able to pull yes they are getting new adjusters and rocker arms. I'm having issue with the bolts so I may take it in to get the rest swapped. Also my exhaust manifold has already cracked. I wouldn't advise anyone from buy them from China anymore. The trucks getting to the end of my wit lol

Yeahhhhhh I'll probably try to make a jig for it too when it's out or at least cad it up. That'll be a while since I'm just trying to get the engine back together and to stop ticking

Redoing my PCV run (and catch can). I've been running it vented to the atmosphere which keeps the crank from over pressurizing but the fumes stink to high heavens. I got a vacuum fitting added to the intake pre-turbo but I don't want the oil to gunk up the turbo and MAF. So I want to run it back to the stock vacuum fitting on the manifold, however, when the manifold has positive pressure, the PCV will be forced to shut and crank pressure can build so I want to avoid that.

I'm looking at an option for a compound PCV run where to output of the catch can runs to the intake pre turbo and to the manifold position. Vacuum at the manifold should be significantly higher than the intake but as intake pressure builds, the air velocity in the intake pre turbo will also build, building the vacuum at the intake fitting. That way PCV pressure will always have somewhere to vent.

Now, someone read this over and tell me where I'm wrong...

Will a better catch can not allow oil to pass through it?

I have mine vented to atmosphere currently because of all the oil it allowed through. I was hoping a better can would prevent this.

Yes. It has to be baffled correctly.

I wouldnt suggest putting the catch can attached anywhere pressure will build. Your going to end up building pressure in it faster than the vacuum is pulling it out

Here's an article I read a few weeks ago on ccv/pcv setups. Good read for those getting started and understanding what the system does.

Yes, a better can with proper baffles will help. Filling it with stainless steal wool also helps but baffles are what you really need.

The reason I want to route my can back to the stock setting is the vacuum at the manifold helps create a vacuum in your block which helps the oil drain at the turbo

After further thought to my setup, the run to the intake, pre turbo, will have to have a one way check valve to prevent the manifold from sucking in air that isn't metered by the MAF.

An additional option is the remove the check valve on the rear vent to allow flow both ways but when the manifold gets pressurized, the fumes will be expelled and sucked into my cabin.

Going preturbo will provide enough vacuum as-is. Honestly id go valve cover -> catch can -> preturbo (after the maf). All the air entering the crankcase should have already been metered unless youre feeding it from somewhere pre-maf?

I doubt it. Its a 4" pipe and its located right at the air filter. At idle, the air flow velocity would be minimum a best.

Air entering the crank case isn't metered. The rear vent has a filter and a one way valve. This just pointed out my second flaw, thanks. This won't work. Shit.

Route the vent to the exhaust then and not worry?

Plenty of vacuum and you wont dirty anything that shouldnt be already

Have you thought about an angled port coming off of the exhaust? To create a vacuum.

No I haven't thought about that. How would that work? It would have to be post Cat Converter and need to be designed not to melt the hose.

Would greatly appreciate help on how this can be designed :D

I have a spare bung behind the Cat for an O2 sensor I can use. The O2 sensor will throw codes like Da Vinci but I can always get one of those fancy simulators. The resistor mod might work as well...
