So you guys would recommend a heatsheild /blanket?

Wouldn't it trap heat around the turbo....?

yes that's the idea... exhaust stays hot for good stuff and engine bay stays cooler for also good things

Hotter it is, the more pressure/energy you have. Also keeps heat from escaping into the engine bay.

Wraps also then to reduce the life of your metal as the extreme heat will weaken it over time. Some people don't wrap headers for this reason but if they are well made from quality steal, you should be ok wrapping it.

    I'm so proud.

Running NA 7mge injectors in 5vzfes was a mod for a while. Turbo ones are 440cc.

Then there are all the aftermarket ones. Can find used RV 550cc for a good deal usually.

Yeah I looked from some NA 7MGE but didn't find any. IIRC, they are 315cc. Brice wants 660cc but I think that was his issue in the first place; I think after 440cc, you need a standalone ECU to tune. Gadget never impressed me with his interpersonal skills but I don't ignore his advice. He said anything over 440cc on the 5VZ can't be tuned with a piggy back :notsure:

Before the 650cc's ate themselves I had them tuned just fine at idle and to about 2500rpm (never got around to fine tuning them before they quit) The trims were good and afrs were also good. I'd assume brand name injectors would tune up even better like @Torspd says regardless of size. I want something in the 600 range since Clay was saying that his 550cc's were getting small on e85.

I also have a feeling 440cc's would be really close to 80-90% at like 8 psi for a 11:1 AFR and wouldn't even be able to run e85 with any appreciable amount of boost

The thing the ebay injectors didn't have was a "13v-14v dead time" which from what I understand is a value in ms or us and is basically pulse width? But you use this value to fine tune them and I couldn't find that value from osidetiger.

I reference this post alot when messing with the AEM and I find it very helpful. Would definitely recommend.
    http://www.d-series.org/forums/diy-forum/253090-aem-fic-guide.html
As you can see his injector dead time was 1200us from the manufacturer and he settled on like 1174us to have them where he wanted.

What he told me too. And yes NA supra ones are 318.

The turbo ones would be good for almost 400hp anyways.

What do you think about those Supra injectors? 660cc or 550cc. Should be OEM fit.

The 660 cc's were low impedance whereas the 5vz is high impedance? The 550s seem like they'll work though.

This is why I posted the Deatschwerks. You get your range of sizes, info of impedance, and their plot data.

The 1GR uses NA Supra style injectors as well.

Make sure you get high impedance.

Injector Dynamics injectors would be a challenge to tune, since they don't follow the general consensus of voltage to flow output. Much easier with a standalone, or programmable ecu.
