speaking of... hasnt most of the 2tr boost fallen on your shoulders? where are the whistley videos?

 

I need to see a tuner, a legit pro. It runs but I wouldn’t even brand it “performance” yet. I had posted a video, but just cruising really. There will be more in the months to come but come to a haul for at least a month due to moving and getting new home in order. I just picked it up from the shipper yesterday actually, after driving the wife’s V6 RAV4 it runs a little ruff

 

I remember having to totally redesign my turbo kit for an external wastegate a while back. Boost kept dropping off. All due to a loose hose clamp, that I later found out. Similar principal, different location. Was redesigning the charge tubing for an experiment, and that is when I found it. Major facepalm.

yeah, but like I mentioned above I have got use to the new-to-me RAV4 and there's a bit to be desired

I know we have been over this, but there is no good way to have a MAF pre turbo and vent to atm right since you are releasing air that has already been metered?

 

Looky there! Did you find any at any of the vacuum hose junctions?

That is correct. You'd need to recirculate that blow off.

 

I still has a very small leak where I put that hose clamp the other day so I gave her another half turn

 

Reaching full spring pressure now, consistently?

 

Nah I haven't fixed those couplers. I prolly need to try and make a bread on those pipe so it seals better

 

I had other stuff on my plate tonight... And those things were wrapped in bacon so...

 

I have a hybrid valve. 25% to atmosphere and 75% recirc. 100% recirc was screwing with my maf readings because it is so close to it. 75% to atmosphere it would stall.

 

For those who were wondering about the buggy... EEEEEEF sucker will scoot... Boost hit and it literally knocked my hat off... Caught me by suprise

Ill get one when I get back from vacation... He said the first time he got into boost he looked down and it said ~15 psi... It came with two springs and he didn't bother to open it haha... He said it was like a rocket... That Volkswagen tranny's days are numbered

 

He ground down 1 spring down to 6.5 and that makes some major power. Me and him both in it have it around 1900 lbs and that motor is "220 hp" stock so I figure it close to 300 now

 

Did that meth pump work?

 

He hasnt got it setup yet. He has a wideband (aem) but it seems like it's a little jank or something its all over the place just cruising. But they cracked into the low 12's according to the gauge... It ain't knocking so I dunno if he will do it or not tbh... I thought he might could even put e85 in the tank and spray that for some fuel like a make shift 5th injector. He use to dabble with nitrous so he has a ton of jets to dial it in... But he is super concerned out the tranny... The recommended upgrade is a menedola and they just want $6500 for those
