    Wish I had some knowledge on the subject.

    Good. 93 always when you get those on. Knock prevention is the name of the game. Depending on how the turbos perform, it could be between 10 to 15 psi for those tq numbers. Better to have a little extra mechanical knock resistance from the lower compression, than not. I wouldn't run any lower than 9.0:1 though. With that compression ratio, cams, and whatnot, you'll have plenty of low end still, and plenty of safely net. Without having to revert to a higher octane fuel. With the turbos, you can just add more boost to get the wtq you want. With an s/c, you're more limited. A good middle of the road would then be 9.5:1.

    Yup, detonation is my concern. With that said, are your engine temps higher because the wet sleeves transfer heat more efficiently to the coolant or because they retain/create more heat, the later resulting in higher instance of knock?

    A coolant temps do run higher. Due to the sleeves being iron. Definitely need to have an upgraded radiator. Good thing for everyone the CSF radiators are available. That, and 160 degree thermostat.

    If you do eventually go the turbo route, spend the money on an efficient intercooler. Better than the one from URD.

    Will do Tor. I’ve been searching for data from Darton about how the sleeves behave compared to cast-in liners with knock in mind.

    My interpretation of what your experiencing is if the water is getting hotter, more heat is being taken away from the combustion process, ie. lower combustion chamber temp. (At least that’s what I want it to mean).

    Hoping piston and combustion chamber coatings chip away at even more of the problem.

    Bravo sir! Tight fit, but it fits and is nearly complete. I can't wait to hear it, and your review of how it performs! I think it will sound really good with that dump reintroduced.

    Months have gone by for the both of us. I am nearly completed with the cams installation. Just need to button everything back up.

    @Torspd quick question, when you were rear mount, did you see a drop in psi at the Gauge compared to what was in the WG? Example WG=7psi spring Gauge showed 5psi

    That and or the intercooler combined. I had to reference it from the manifold to get the desired “spring” pressure.

    I know this doesn't really impact us but URD pulleys are all on sale for $99... How much boost would a 2.4 get ya?

    Somewhere around 11lbs. I see peak of 12lbs with my 2.3 and saw about 10 peak with my 2.5 @2k elevation
