Easy enough work around. Turbo that fits. Lol. Always comes down to packaging anyway. For @Whites1187 he's got all of the room.

What supporting mods would a man need to run that efr turbo?

No haltech on the phone once the boomslang was in was able to determine that the iac used on my taco was incompatible with their outputs

Depends on power goals. 300whp you really just need supporting fuel, upgraded clutch and good condition stock motor. 400 whp you get into engine building. 500 is the max of that turbo

Bummer haltech can't control a 3 wire IAC? At least you got it figured out now.

300ish sounds fun for now. What kind of fuel y’all recommend and clutch?

Ahhh. So the one you went with bolted straight up?

You've a stout engine. Keep it at 300 or less, and it will be good for a while.

I'd get this one. You'd love it on your truck. EFR is overkill unless you are making big power. The s252sxe are the newest versions of the s series. Plus billet wheel and ported compressors are sexier. You going to need some tuning for 300hp. Pink injectors can yield you about 50hp more than stock without tuning. About 6-8 psi.

Ok @MadTaco461 with that stated turbo what else would a man need to reach 300 hp or so.

Bare minimum for 300 hp is a piggyback ecu like an AEM FIC, 440cc or larger injectors, wideband o2, and intercooler.

Oh man so that ecu I would just add in no tuning required? Or what. I’m not sure if anyone around my parts time these trucks.

You can make low 200's with toyota pink injectors. Those require no tuning. You'd have to tune anything larger than toyota pinks.

Ok now as far as tuning a Toyota. Would I have to take the truck to a place or how does that work. I’m a diesel guy and we have tons of places here to tune them.

Besides spool speed and flow per size, the next benefit of an EFR, when properly sized per goal like any turbo, is packaging. Since the have an integrated blow off valve, and wastegate. As long as there is room, it really simplifies the build.

When time for the Bimmer comes around, that's what's going on. Clearly a much smaller one that on the truck.

I taught myself how to tune. Just need a laptop, wideband with a 0-5v output, and some way to look at your fuel trims. I do street pulls and play with my tune until my AFR's are clean.
Or whatever piggyback tuner you decide to get see if there is a place near you that tunes them.
