What shock towers are you using? Recently seeing some OEM coilbuckets beginning to fail. I'm thinking this may the route I go when I get around to getting Kings up front.

 

JD fab. It what comes with the long travel kit. Any fab shop can bend you some hoops easy.

 

Did a quick bolt together before stuffing into the truck. An efr would of been easier. Ran into oil line issue. Who would have thought precision uses imperial threads for oil feed and drain while the exhaust is metric.

That's a paranoia in physical form. When I did my first kit I melted a whole bunch of stuff.

It should be easy I'm hoping. Don't think I forgot anything. You using a 3 port or 4 port solenoid?

Did you hook yours up like this?

 

Pretty much. Except the hose going to the intake is just vented.

 

Is that setup negated by using a self contained system like the BW EFR series?

 

Thanks, I picked up a T fitting today to switch over to this style.

Yeah internal wastegate and external wastegate are different on how you set up the hose routing. On occasion I'll see someone set their external gate where the top port will be an atmosphere vent and interrupts the lower port to raise boost.

I still feel that Hyperdrive is more exciting a car show, but it is practically all racing. With only a quarter of the time for back stories. I prefer that formula.

 

Yeah same... If the back story was more of the build instead of "my dad left when I was 6 so I started building go carts and dirt bikes and one day I figured out they can go fast"
It would be a lot better imo

 

40 minutes of build-up for a 15 second race. Then they have no other competitions, to see if their skills may be better in a slightly different challenge.

Last episode, that I watched, had a guy with a Celica/Supra. Trailered it to the meet up, but his car wasn't even ready. Fail.
