Price is pretty much the same between haltech and aem too. How's the wiring been for the 2tr guys that have haltech?

It’s absolutely normal not to get replies about tuning, guys put LOTS of money and time into their truck to just turn around and give it to you- this includes me. I will extend the same help I received along the way (specifically this thread) on HOW to find the answer. For some reason I don’t care to tell guys who just showed up everything that I’m running on my truck, it’s weird because when I showed up here I wanted it on a platter too... really I just wanted a decent kit but it wasn’t offered. As much as I have put out, I like some things to be a secret. Am I the only one who feels this way?

Well mr poopy pants im happy you figured out who i was talking about. i didnt know that tacoma world was a place to hide secrets and to tell people to read through over 11553 posts to get some information about the same vehicle. Yeah ive almost spent 2k in this setup and dont want to spend money on something i dont need. Your right though i should quit asking questions to people on this forum to better my knowledge. Merry Christmas

I didn’t realize, I just had to look back to see if you’re one of the dozen I get a month on the subject. You likely received an answer to some but not everything you asked, which ended with an invitation to the Turbo BS thread to learn and help grow the community. At least you’re here, maybe you stick around or maybe you don’t.

For the record, I’ve yet to get a tune on my truck. Anyone wanting specific stock tune numbers need somehow squeeze that info out of OVTune, he’s the only one that has that info at this moment until HPTuners releases 2TR

If I put my truck on a dyno I wouldn't give out that map or got some good info from someone that said don't share this. I'll give out my base maps without hesitation. If you went through the trouble of wiring that thing to be like mine, go for it. Mine is just a hash up of all the maps already on the web. I respect the guys that want to keep their trade secrets.

When I'm looking at dropping nearly 2k on an ecu I definitely want to ask questions and get what info I can before spending that kind of change. I bought the truck for 600 so that's a big investment.

I do the same. I direct on how to find the answer more than giving the answer. More engaging and valuable to the asker. The education is priceless.

If you guys have a 2nd gen 2.7 ecu and want software to tune it yourself, I can provide it.

Our newest, fully redone software is finished. Ready to go in January.
And this software is very nice.
But I can only provide the software and basic help, maybe a base map for the SC 2.7 I tuned months ago, I just don't have time or resources to also provide tuning.

I don't mind searching and reading for answers and information. But 578 pages of potentially non related discussion and trying to piece it all together is nearly a waste of my time.

I would be very very interested in software to tune the stock Ecu.

Im on page 172 and there is a lot of mumbo jumbo and random shit like we are doing right now. When a person googles or uses the search on this forum its difficult to find results that a person needs. There are too many platforms in this when a person needs specific platforn information.

    Tuning the stock ecu.

It can definitely be done for boost. I tuned a 2TR with a blower on stock ecu no problem

Fuel, timing, VVT, throttle, torque, rev limit etc etc

    We use our software

here is an example image with a few maps from our R&D Tundra.
of course, there are many many more than just these tables.

Sign me up for OVTune or HPTuners eventually.

I'd love to move away from the AEM FIC and into a more "OEM" style tuning.
And also a not-hacked-up harness lmao

Looked at the website looks like yall got whats going on. With the software packages do you have the ability to return to factory tune if needed? I read that it drops factory binary?
