Yeah i dont mean to pull up a controversial topic but there is a bunch of info on removing the second cat. Some guys remove both. My cats are garbage so its either i replace them or just throw a pipe in and hammer down

Yeah I'm catless. every now and then I will get a pending code for insufficient cat because egt are cooler or something with a really free flow exhaust or something... But the Sims are doing what they are supposed to I think

I have not but I just assumed with a near new fuel pump it should be pretty ok

Make sure you dont have any timing pulled in the low load/rpm cells. I had maybe .5 degree pulled below 900 rpm column and starts were difficult in much warmer weather

There is an enrichment, but it isn't used for that. Enrichment table is like an accelerator pump in a carburetor. ECU does all the work for cold start. Mine gets a bit rich, but it's not bad. It doesn't get that cold near me. I'd just run a pump gas tune for that cold of weather.

would adding some timing possibly bandaid fix this you think? Under no real load and being already rich for start up and also as knock resistant as e85 is anyway, could this be a solution that didnt require a whole new tune?

And or could I adjust the afr module to add more fuel if not?

Start with 0 timing adjustment in the start up cells. You can try to advance and see if that helps. Also maybe a plug in block heater could help, idk tho.

Is it potentially gelling because of the cold?

Yeah the reason e85 hates the cold is because the colder alcohol gets the less it wants to vaporize its not a gelling issue, but after seeing videos of people adjusting their start up tune to enrich it I thought I might could get some insight from others that have used the mapecu3 on how to go about that without having 2 separate times. But after the timing was brought up I thought might be as good or better solution.

Does anybody run a gt28 turbo? Do you run an oil restrictor fitting?

Any ball bearing turbo needs a oil restrictor. I have one on my Gt3582r.

    A thing or two...
There's a Cold Start Enrichment table in MAPCAL, but it's based on coolant temperature. To use it, you would need to tap an unused analog voltage input into the coolant temp signal to the ECU.
